Interesting that you say "butts in seats is better than no butts in seats", and basically say our fan base sucks, after saying that you weren't even going to watch the UGAg game. Which is it?

Right. What part of my statement isnt clear? I said people arent going to go out of their way to watch the product on the field this year when you just had a 3-9 season 2 years ago. Im doing exactly what my statement suggests. Im not planning my holiday weekend around this last game in an otherwise crappy season. Its my sons first holiday season and we have a lot of family in town. No need to make others plan around the GT game. Particularly because we are likley going to get ran off the field. Id rather that not be my sons first GT/UGA game. Im doing him a favor trust me.

If GT wins then the joke is on me. Thats my decision as a fan. I weigh my decisions based on likely outcome. As a sidewalk fan thats my choice. I am at peace with that. It get that it doesnt make me the perfect fan. I still wear white and gold on gameday. I just wont go through the effort to support a losing product. I can do my suffering from the couch. I dont support losing seasons.

Look at LSUs stadium after losing to Troy. Look at Miamis stadium now that they are going on an incredible run after being an attendance joke for a long time. UGA didnt even sell out season tix this year before the season for the first time in a long while because of their 7-5 season last year.

Every program has fans that dont go to games when the program fails to meet expectations. Yall act like its just us. Its not. Winning cures all.

Not sure how many of you actually follow recruiting but Duke signs players we were recruiting around the Atlanta area. They have a team full of Gwinnett players. They have been signing higher ranked classes than us. Shouldn't be a surprise we don't own them anymore.

Tell me then, what do you know about the 01 season? Were you a player on the 01 team, manager, support staff? Were you a student at Tech in 01. Please, tell me where you get your knowledge & how GT was affected more by 9/11 than other schools?? I would like to know.

Because New York and Atlanta are right next to each other duh guy lol

Who coaces our WR guys. Seems it is a 50 yard pass or nothing. We have not shown any quick intermediary or bubble screen passes. We are very predictable on passing. Duke had our long stuff well covered all night. No open passes like against VT. Even when we hit them they were well covered. Not sure what PJ is seeing in practice but seems we are feast or fathom on passing.

Lol the reason we run vertical routes is because of defenses stacking the box. The VT game where half our points came on 70 yard passes is the epitome of this. Short passes night work but wen they already have 8/9 guys in the box the playbook doesn't really open up. If we ran a spread maybe, but adding in short passes doesn't do much when the D is already pressing. Only works in soft coverage

I bet Paul Johnson is going to be on the Coaches Hotseat list Tomorrow.

while i still support the team and the coaching staff. the debacle we had yesterday and at tennessee and at miami and at virginia is the responsibility of the coaching staff. hopefully we make the necessary off season changes this team needs while continuing our pursuit of graduating all our players.

that we could be 9 and 1 is telling imo. we have the players to get it done. we are just not getting it done.... ON THE ROAD. i am not privy to what goes on behind closed doors. so i cant put the blame on any one individual.

ive had the feeling since the tennessee game that this team has a fragile psyche and we need some leaders to step up on the field.

Last night crushed me worse than the Tennessee game did. My eternal optimist took a real beating:banghead: The state of the program right now is about what it was in the Mid 1970s with Pepper Rodgers in my opinion.
The five seasons i watched while on campus were all wishbone. The choice to abandon a balanced offense didn't seem good then or now> but either way we'll never be a consistent top twenty team while the bulk of recruits are the 2 and 3 star type.

One of the biggest issues on defense that we've had the past few years is fundamentals. We have no idea how to tackle properly. We have guys who also don't seem to know their assignment from time to time or take proper angles. That is 0% talent and 100% on coaching. Anyone can be taught proper fundamentals if they have the right teacher it doesn't matter if you're a 5* or a 2*. OLine seems to be similar with guys just not knowing their assignments at times or just totally whiffing on blocks. At least here I can understand whats going on with how many different lineups we are using due to injuries.

I'm a huge CPJ supporter, but if we miss bowls twice in three years he will rightfully be on the hot seat next year.

I think he is safe for now. Next year is probably do or die for him though. He will have two years left on his contract after next season. We will need to either extend him or cut ties. I still like him. Hopefully he has another 11 win season in him.

He was a world beater. You’re just too young to remember. Friedgen was an offensive genius who could fit his offense to whatever talent was available.

CPJ isn’t in the same class as either of those coaches.
O'Leary dropped off when Ralph went to Maryland. I wouldn't necessarily take back O'Leary as head coach, but I would have loved for Fridge to stay instead of going "back home".
