I doubt the Public will hear from him, he likely talked with the team and then that was it
.

Unfortunate. Couldn't have been surprised and a good learning lesson for any future job he may have, but man, his pressers were tough to watch as a Tech fan. No answers. Lots of rainbows and butterflies. No answers. Lots of stuff to anger fans (not talking to you, if you don't see improvement you aren't looking, etc.).

Same with Stansbury. Wonder if Ken gets him on the record as well. Have to think he didn't think this was coming until recently.

How long before he tries to get another coaching job?

With his money he doesn’t have to jump back in right away. Of course, if a colleague offers him a decent job he will not want to wait.

Which is saying you really don't have compassion unless you feel they deserve it, which isn't truly compassion to begin with. Gotcha.
There are no real consequences for him.
People keep going on about him "losing his job." Yeah, and he gets 20 million dollars for it.
This isn't some dude down at the meat packing plant getting laid off.
So, I have compassion as a human for whatever emotions he has surrounding his failure as a coach. Otherwise, seems like winning the lottery to me.

He was escorted to his car and not allowed to talk to the team. So far the GTAA has not handled this well. There are some initial reports surfacing that a large portion of players and their families are extremely unhappy about the way this unfolded and several are talking about transferring immediately. I have NOT been able to corroborate this beyond the initial source, but that source is reliable.

That's pretty ****ty if true. Why would the GTAA not allow him to talk to the team ? Only reason I can think of is that the school was so over this **** show already and somehow collins was angry ?

I've heard from at least 4 people that he was not allowed to talk to the team and was escorted to his car. Two of those people are actually on campus today.

I don't know why I remembered this, but good lord, Stansbury may be on the hook for a LOT of money due to his buyout from Oregon State. He restructured his contract to take a reduced salary, in return GT loaned him money for the Oregon State buyout. It was set to be paid off by 2026. I wonder if GT will forgive that amount or will Stansbury still need to find a way to pay it back.

Dang...talk about a double whammy.

Hmm. Interesting to see what happened there. Did he make a stink and they just said get out? Were they just over it at this point? Could've been handled poorly but we may not ever know.

Oh to be a fly on the wall....

I'm not surprised, but I'd ask this:

Did anyone expect us to be much better than this after four games? Yeah, the number of blocked punts stands out, but most people did not believe we'd be better than 1-3 by this point...right? Did we think we'd play Ole Miss or Clemson much closer?

I was under the impression that the fanbase expectations were pretty conservative for this first quarter of the season. Is it just the quality of play everyone is seeing, rather than the scores and results?

Is this normal procedure with a dismissal? When cpj stepped down he had a team talk before the public announcement?

Honestly seems a bit odd and pretty cold for the school to this to the team. Something else must have gone down for them to treat the team that way if it's not normal procedure

I had higher expectations this season with the newish staff. Hoping they could also mentor Collins since some have been around a minute

CPJ retired. We haven't fired a coach in a while. Not sure what they did with Gailey.

I guess depends on it he is straight out fired or re-assigned somewhere else. That would stink....
