We walked the fired employee to the car, security escorted the car to the gate. In today's day and time, that's how it is. Otherwise, inviting trouble.
It is S.O.P. for the great majority or workers. It's like, if 'trouble' happens, the "bad optics" far outweigh the reaction from walking him to his car.
The current "bad optics" are quite easily explained away by saying it's S.O.P.
Focus is where it should be, on the team and players.Ga Tech -26 Pittsburgh -21
Um, please share link where I ever stated how Collins should have been fired, let alone it should have been done differently.Except it did happen exactly like it happened to him. I think you're the one arguing it should be different than what was reality.

Um, OK. Where does it say in that quote how Collins should have been fired. Please highlight the specific words."I love how everyone is comparing being fired as a head coach in college football to being fired from a corporate job as if they are even remotely similar."
He was fired exactly like a corporate employee would be, but you are arguing with people that it's not remotely the same. I honestly have no idea what you are debating but it just seemed silly to argue with people about something that clearly happened.
Lol. I wouldn’t have used those exact words but generally agree with the sentiment. Onward and upwards!Bro, y’all are still arguing about how people got fired? Who cares. YOU’RE FIREEDDDD!!!!!!!! Get out! Go to your car and leave. **** off!!! It doesn’t matter any more. Geoff Collins got fired as a loser. Our new guy is 1-0!!! Be excited about the **** that matters!! Who cares how the last guy went out. Literally nobody outside of this board is even thinking about it.

After the game last night, I think that the people who are complaining about this are going to stop. Or everyone else is just going to ignore them.
That is uh... a weird gif to use to make your point, what with how the Montreal Screw Job very nearly ended the WWF and left McMahon a pauper. Only a confluence of best in history of the business writer inspiration, intense Canadian professionalism on the part of the Harts, and Ted Turner getting bored saved his ***. Even then, McMahon only survived because of the peculiarites of the technology being able to cut the feed. The crowd was calling for McMahon's blood. In a modern context, twitter would finish the WWF at least in Canada within an hour.Bro, y’all are still arguing about how people got fired? Who cares. YOU’RE FIREEDDDD!!!!!!!! Get out! You can't pretend that being escorted out isn't a giant insult to someone's professionalism and ethics. And as much as I am emotionally not against insulting Collins, it's a fool's move that only makes sense to sociopaths. Any friends the depated employee has will take the insult as well. On higher end salaries I regularly hire employees for more than $30k a year less than previous jobs because of that sort of crap. Don't believe me? Ask yourself- ever work for an ******* who you didn't respect and disrespected you? How much would you pay to remove them from your life? I cash in those offers. Do you honestly think the next AD won't take notice of the Hill's behavior? How do you think that colors our claims that there will be more support? How does it color the narratives that Cabrera ignored students, faculty, and programs at George Mason in favor of a few very wealthy donors?
I ain't broken up over it, but it does confirm for me that Cabrera lacks the minimum values that Tech demands from her students and faculty.
The days of a coach just running practices and the playbook are long gone. A head coach today is more like a CEO ... and runs or oversees training, academic progress, conditioning, travel, operations, recruiting, player development, facilities, and of course ... game preparation and management. He has a budget and a staff that has to be managed.I love how everyone is comparing being fired as a head coach in college football to being fired from a corporate job as if they are even remotely similar. Yes, I have been fired and escorted out of the office without getting to chance to tell my employees and coworkers, "Goodbye." I am also not so delusional to believe that my job is the same as being a HC in college football
