I never understood why we didn't throw deep more to him with his speed.

Pure speed isn't everything. You might remember Devin Hester. Track speed. Fantastic kick returner. Never could crack a rotation at receiver.

Now if a guy has speed *and* can cut you to pieces underneath with agility, that is a threat.

Wow, yea he does look huge. He looks easily at 300 lbs there in that clip. BecAuse curry is a well built dude and Quinney makes him look small. Quinney was only at like 265 before right?

Interesting, ThackAttack[emoji769] says Kaleb Oliver and Tariq Carpenter have been taking some reps at the Will LB in some of the prowler package (that 3rd and long Defensive set where we have the DL standing and show pressure from everywhere).

Kaleb Oliver is just a football player. I really hope he finds a home somewhere on the field because that dude has been asked to do a lot for our program. Would love to see him play a big role either as a key backup or starter for us. He can play somewhere, he's so physically gifted...it's just a matter if his understanding of a position can beat the clock.

Quinney is a good looking OLmen. Great length and speed. He just needs to get better at using his feet on drop backs.

Patenaude said in an interview after one of the practices Quinney was up to 305 lbs from 265 this time last year.

Thats.... insane. Our OLine should be much improved.

That was a stupid decision by Maryland, Fridge only wanted 1 more year. Their decision included terminating (their head coach in waiting) James Franklin. James then took Vanderbilt to new heights and Penn State out of the JoPa mess.

I remember a “stadium full of Big 10 fans” was a popular idea with Tech fans. Didn’t work out that way for Maryland or Rutgers. At the time, it looked like a good idea.
