The solution is to count missed games as a forfeit for whatever the reason. This will promote teams to not want to miss games.

Georgia State is looking for an FBS opponent. Either location would require minimal travel obviously.

Very slippery slope to let a Univ decide themselves that they are "justified" to cancel a game.....should be NCAA or some 3rd party....in this case the most egregious element is that USF and UFla are both hosting games at home in areas that suffered far more damage and impact than Disney-Orlando. BTW, the theme park was open on Monday I believe (Tuesday latest)

I was questioning the same, while watching the game last time.

So..... Let me ask a hypothetical question. Say we win 5 games and a UCF win would make 6 and had made us bowl eligible. Does the team suffer, because of this cancellation? Of course, I really hope to win more than 5. But, just curious.. Can this cancellation end up hurting us?

Disney opened Tuesday, but that's a business that operates like a business. UCF is probably run by a bunch of elitist academics whose first thought is looking for a government handout instead of getting their business back up and running like they're responsible for doing. We got our crew in Monday afternoon and activate our facility for a Tuesday morning start. Been up & running all week but it's different for us because we're trying to make money, allow people to earn a living, etc.

I know it would be strange for a university to be run by academics, but you are probably right about that.

Apparently, GT can appeal because of the cancelled game.

We could always schedule Ga State on the 7th for a hopefully ez win. That's pretty much what happened with the LSU Florida reschedule. both teams canceled an OOC cupcake game to make up their conference game and presbyterian and south alabama (their former opponents) played each other instead. Just a thought. Not jumping at the thought of it or anything but throwing it out there.
