I hate to see these for several reasons. But just one of them is I always thought he gave the GT program a lot of credit and was one of the few to acknowledge making coaching errors or when he got outcoached. Don't see that any more.

Richt won a lot of games against us, but they were generally competitive. My fear is that they get a coach who maximizes their intrinsic advantages against us and the games become blowouts. There is no reason for us to be within three touchdowns of them. That program can be Alabama with the right coach. Let's hope they screw it up.

I had a chilling thought. What if this is what the Spurrier/SC resignation was really about?
Nah. Spurrier was escorted out of the office, literally. Quit recruiting when Clemson started roasting him, and that was it. Supposed to have left a pretty good class, though.

Mark May suggesting Mack Brown...won't happen, but oh my, that is fun to think about
Can Mark May be that dense? Or is it another of those inbred ESPN things? Fired coach commentates until opening occurs and fired coach/commentator signs on elsewhere and ESPN has inside dope again. Why and who in the world would hire an aging football coach to get out there and beat the recruiting bushes, a job for young man, when it was exactly that weakness that got him fired at Texas? Sooner or later a coach just loses interest, or starts to wonder what in the world he is doing out there trying to talk an 18-year-old brat into playing for him?

And what was Bama the decade before Saban? It's a lot easier to find a dud than it is to find a top 10 coach

Please Please PLEASE let them hire a string of coaches like Tennessee. Maybe they can start by hiring Bud Foster, Followed by Dooley Jr and then Mike London.

Now rule out Saban and I can roll over and go back to sleep.
Okay. I rule him out. There ain't enough gentleman farmers in Georgia farming the government to afford him. That's just leaving out any other consideration, of which there are none between the two.

Don't under estimate McGarity. He will make a good hiring decision I'm afraid.

Had the Jimbo argument with a friend. I see no reason he would make at best a lateral move to UGA. I could understand LSU a little since he had been there. He has won a NC and been in the playoffs at FSU, no reason to move.
