Three generations is all it has taken for many a company built from nothing..... to die with the 3rd Generation. And yet people still think that the bagmen of the past equate to NIL of today. Kinda like comparing Stone Mountain(NIL) to a golf ball(bagmen). Size matters.

I quit a job once. Absolutely hated it. I also quit a boss once. The rest of the time was just movin’ on up.I once attended a lecture from some business folks who basically summed it up as: people don't quit their jobs, they quit their bosses.
In the end, there will be people who stay even if they are miserable, and there will be people who leave to chase the next thing regardless. I think we have the right culture going currently. Should endeavor to do better at the glitz and glam and flat out NIL paychecks? Of course. But I don't see that so much as being for retention but rather for attracting the best players we can.
