This is the first time we've sent a healthy player.

What does his rookie year have to do with the last two years? He's entering year five.

He suffered a broken foot last year but its all healed up now. As for playing behind freeney he spent his first couple years in the league playing a little out of position.

DURHAM, FREEMAN SIGN WITH CHIEFS, SAINTS: Former Georgia Tech football student-athletes Step Durham and KeShun Freeman have signed contracts as undrafted free agents with the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints, respectively.

Durham, a defensive back, and Freeman, a defensive lineman, were offered contracts and spots on their teams’ 90-man rosters after strong showings the organizations’ rookie minicamps over the past two weekends. They join three other members of Georgia Tech football’s 2017 senior class – defensive back Corey Griffin (San Francisco 49ers), wide receiver Ricky Jeune (Los Angeles Rams) and defensive lineman Antonio Simmons (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – in the NFL ranks and up the total number of former Yellow Jackets currently on NFL rosters to 21.

In 10 seasons under head coach Paul Johnson, 43 Jackets have gone on to play in the NFL.

We take ACL recoveries for granted but some guys never get back to the level they were at before the injury.
