After the 1s, I dunno where a lot of these DBs, OLs, DEs line up at. This is basically my ATL/travel squad. A lotta linemen on both sides. Unknowns after the two deep at WR and LB.

QB: Jeff Sims, Jordan Yates, Chayden Peery
RB: Jahmyr Gibbs, Mason, Griffin, Smith
OL: Ken Kirby, Quinney, Rankins
OL: Ryan Johnson, Maye, Spiers
OL: Kenny Cooper, Minivan, Lay
OL: Jordan Williams, Pendley, Smith
OL: Devin Cochran, Paula, Wing Green
TE: Dylan Deveney, Leonard, Ward
WR: Malichi Carter, Sanders
WR: Marquez Ezzard, Peje
SLOT: Kyric McGowan, Nate

DT: TK Chimezda, Griffin, Stone, Douse, Biggers
DT: Djimon Brooks, Scott, Lockhart
DE: Antonneous Clayton, Harris, Yondjouen, Carroll
DE: Keion White, Domineck, Ryans, Ivey
LB: Quez Jackson, Meiguez
LB: Ayinde Eley, Wright
S: Juanyeh Thomas, Walker
S: Tariq Carpenter, Allen
N: Charlie Thomas
CB: Tre Swilling, Watson, King
CB: Zamari Walton, Sims, Brooks, Huff, Johnson

K: Brent Cimaglia
P: Austin Kent
Kyle Kennard had 2.5 sacks in limited snaps. His name should be on that list somewhere at DE.

I would have thought the Irish kid, via Australia, David Shanahan would be the punter?

He didn’t seem to make many plays at nickle last season, maybe still learning the position? I thought he was our best playmaker at LB, even being really undersized he shows out there at times. He may be a liability in run defense because of his size though and we have upgrades.
The nickel as we've played it lately is a hybrid OLB and Safety. That is why Kaleb Oliver and Charlie Thomas had so many TFLs.

Yep. Added Kennard and Shanahan. As far as who’s punting, I gave Kent the nod due to experience. He punted at UCLA and had 3 punts for a 41.3 yrd avg for us last year. To my knowledge, Shanahan has never punted in a real game before. Hopefully he’s a stud.

I’m focused on Defense this year. They gotta show me something. Offense will be pretty easy to see we should be short passing and power run. Collins got to find the right combination of pressure/coverage. Lot of times we have a couple of guys come in for certain situations where at Florida he had a whole front 7 substitution for 3rd downs, I hope we see that this year.

Agreed. Need to see a major step forward. With a "normal" spring and fall practice , IMO there will really be few/no excuses not to become at least middle of the pack on D.

I’ll take a crack at it too. I’m not going more than 3 deep in my predictions, and I mostly don’t know which DT spot certain players have played in the past, so take it for what it’s worth (which ain’t much).

WDE: Domineck, Kennard, Harris
NT: D. Brooks, Lockhart, Scott
3T: Chimedza, Griffin, Stone
SDE: White, Clayton, Ivey
LB: Eley, Meiguez
LB: Quez, C. Thomas
CB: Swilling, M. Sims, M. Brooks
CB: Walton, Watson, T. Oliver
NB: Walker, K. Johnson, Jordan Huff
S: Carpenter, Allen
S: Juanyeh, Edwards

Brooks is a question mark for me and wouldn’t surprised if Frank’s is starting WLB

What about Charlie Thomas? If he bulks up a little, I could see him starting at a LB spot.

I’ll take a stab at offense now. Fair warning: I’m probably going to be nowhere close on the O-line.

LT: Cochran, Quinney
LG: Pendley, Maye
C: Minihan, Cooper
RG: Johnson, Smith
RT: Williams, Kirby
QB: Sims, Peery, Yates
RB: Gibbs, Mason, Griffin, Smith
TE: Deveney, Leonard, Ward
X Receiver: Blackburn, Carter, Ezzard
Slot: McCollum, McGowan, Haynes
Z Receiver: McGowan, Sanders, Boyd

Receivers are going to be a crapshoot. I hope Coach Dixon can really develop them this offseason.

I think you're pretty damn close, Trombone! I would move Quinney to LG and Green to back Cochran. Swap Maye and Smith at LG and RG because LG needs to be able to pull and get leverage. I would have Cooper start at Center. Move Blackburn from X to Z and Sanders vice versa. McGowan sticks at Slot and Peje Harris at Z.
