Ran into this site which says updated March 10. Seems to be using the earlier in the week bracketing. It also has a full list of not only last year's NIT teams, but CBI, CIT, et al, not that a major team goes to those. Just interesting.

NYC Buckets has dropped GT from its NIT Bracketology

http://www.nycbuckets.com/current-nit-bracketology/

DRatings still has GT as a 7 seed.

From nycbuckets link:
Good wins are where Georgia Tech’s profile excels, but that’s partly because the Yellow Jackets had so many opportunities in the ACC. A lack of road wins plus a 10-15 overall record against the Top 200 puts them squarely on the bubble. Teams like that have made the NIT in the past, but they’ve also been left out. It may be that GT’s 263rd ranked non-conference schedule could be what ultimately does them in.

That is just a silly statement.

I highly doubt they leave them out...I am actually 99% positive they make it. Being an ACC team helps right off the bat and they have wins over a bunch of Tourny teams. NIT would be foolish to leave them out.
The reason the person who puts the NIT Bracketology gave for saying GT was considered and on the bubble was that GT had a lack of road wins and were 10-15 against top 200 teams and their out of conference schedule was 263rd in the nation.

Nice list of games to follow form Ken. Basically you want every regular season conference champ from a 1 bid league to win their conference Tourney and get the NCAA bid so they don't take an auto bid to the NIT.

Teams for Tech fans to root for Saturday:

America East – Vermont over Albany

Big Sky – North Dakota over Weber State

Big West – UC Irvine over UC Davis

Conference USA – Middle Tennessee State over Marshall

Ivy League – Princeton over Penn (semifinal)

MAC – Akron over Kent State

MEAC – North Carolina Central over Norfolk State

Mountain West – Nevada over Colorado State

Southland – New Orleans over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

SWAC – Texas Southern over Alcorn State

Sun Belt – UT Arlington over Texas State (semifinal)

WAC – Cal State Bakersfield over New Mexico State

Not a great start so far.
UT-Arlington is down big with 6 min left.
Penn is leading Princeton early second half (that's a tough one for me - Penn is my other alma mater, but GT needs Princeton to win).
NC Central and Norfolk St are tied second half.

Vermont did beat Albany.

UT Arlington gets blown out - likely going to get an NIT auto bid.

NC Central has taken control of their game - good for GT.
Penn is up 10 second half, bad for GT.

The Tigers prevailed in OT. They face the Harvard-Yale winner tomorrow. They beat Harvard twice this year. Once by a point in Cambridge and by 4 in Princeton. Yale was right with Princeton early, then lost four games in a row, only to recover late to gain the #3 seed. Princeton will have their hands full to win the tournament.

Nevada up 12 at halftime in MWC Championship
Texas Southern up 5 in SWAC but it doesn't matter as Alcorn State is ineligible for NCAA so Texas So goes win or lose.

Yes RI was a good win for us.
They and VCU are both likely headed to NCAA.

Nevada and Texas SO both won, good for GT.
