Yes. We need DL more but lost Seymore,Brooks, and Burrell.
Harvey, Powell-Lee, and Shelley are rising seniors(if they don’t leave).

In regards to the NCAA and it's list of rules, it seems like years ago some schools decided that they were in fact suggestions or recommendations to be followed if and when convenient and ignored otherwise. In a wistfully nostalgic sort of way that harkens back to an earlier time, other schools fell into the trap of thinking that the NCAA was in fact a legitimate organization and that the rules actually had to be followed. Imagine that if you will.

Yeah just for fun here's what we have for now out of this list. I see 1 guaranteed starter in Van den Berg and 2 other non-freshman guys that could be rotational pieces next year (Jason Moore, Cruz) and out of the Freshman players you maybe got 3-5 that will contribute (Garrett, S.Jones, L.Marshall, Boyd, and maybe Bradford) playing some sorta of role. You MUST go out and get 2-3 Interior DL that could fit as starters and key rotational guys and 1-2 Edge guys with 1 pure starter.

Who knows what kind of cash that guy was demanding in negotiations, but seriously…maybe Marshall couldn’t afford it. So every player goes and they essentially start over?

Absolutely.
Still measured and teams can still be penalized if the APR is not high enough.
It's also used to determine which 5-7 teams get to go to bowl games if not enough teams qualify.

I suspect it is largely being gamed at this point though.
