FWIW i watched a good bit of KSU this season. Their “power cat” offense was basically our o with kings shoulder hurt. Not the most wide open passing attack, so not much stats wise, but at least we know blocking was a must there. Like his size and pedigree(dad was MLB player)
Got offers from most of the PAC
you can't teach size. So 6-4 217 with that much eligibilty has the ability to end up a TE or a hell of an outside threat.

From k state site:

I'm a little surprised at that one. I thought he knew he would be seeing an increased role on the team next year. It will be interesting to see if Jayce is also still planning to transfer. Maybe this opens the door for Linkon to see the field sooner, but as a WR.
From this day forward, I don't ever want to hear KSU fans whine about not having big, athletic elite level WRs. Here we had one, anyone could see the kid had serious ability and skills, and yet he wasn't playing - and really only played when others got injured. But when given the chance to start, he was our top WR. Now here we are......

From what we have seen on the playing field from Spivey and K. Johnson, Spivey was too good to keep off the field - yet he was kept off the field. His on field performance was worthy of a starting role and more targets. You could also see his route running was as good as anyone on the team and his downfield run blocking was probably the best of any WR in the corp of WRs. He is a physical WR that could get yards after contact and also go get 50-50 balls against defenders. What other WR is on the team that does that? I'll wait. I don't know what goes on in practice, but if I were a betting person I'd say that his portal entry is primarily just as simple as the guy wanted to play, felt he was worthy of playing more, and wasn't being given the chances to develop his career. NIL could have also been a factor, because I guarantee if we as fans can see it, other coaches looking for talented WRs can certainly see it. They are probably licking their chops and scratching their heads at the same time. And with his dad being a former MLB player, it's very likely they have relationships that were talking to him about his options. I'm still trying to get some inside scoop, but nothing yet.

People can try to spin this anyway you want, but it's a big loss for the program. Can we replace him? Sure. But how many big body, 6-4", +220lb, physical 50-50 ball getter WRs have come through the KSU program in the last 2 decades? If I were a betting person, I'd put money down Spivey makes it to the NFL down the road. This is on the coaches and it's a failure. Plain and simple.

This screams as a guy that can come in to replace outgoing senior Adbul Janneh Jr. who was a fantastic run blocking WR and maybe Spivey can do a little more in the catching game too... I am not too worried about WR and depth. I think the team will target both a large WR like this and a slot guy and with the youth/depth we already have but still a very positive group overall. I like Cannon to start to make more impact next year too. He show good things in limited time this season.

Rated really low (2-star) as a "prospect" by 247, for some reason. Injury?:

"Daniels has logged 39 receptions on the season to go with 456 yards in 10 games played.
A player who has battled a lower-body injury all season, it hasn't stopped him from fighting through in order to suit up. Daniels has missed just one game this season [Ole Miss]."

EDIT correction: 2-star as a prospect, 4-star as a transfer.
