Can you or @Buzzforlife provide credentials for this twitter account? I see this account's tweets being posted here by you two, but from what I can tell this guy is a youth pastor in Texas that went to Oral Roberts, no direct connection to the program. Most of the tweets seem to be just commenting on something someone else said, not breaking any news, but the few tweets where they claim to have known information previously or trying to break news strike me as probably just sharing info read on rivals or one of the other pay sites. I feel like some of the "breaking news" type tweets were also wrong and have since been deleted, though I havent looked back to verify.

Can either of you tell why we should give credence to this account?

Not sure I understand. No one can provide credentials for a Twitter/X/Bluesky account except for the person who owns it. (Same goes for the credentials of yeti92 or ThatGuy on GTSwarm).

I just became aware of that account over the past year, and I can't remember sharing content from that account before I just did. The reason I reshared this particular content is because 1) I hadn't seen any discussion to that effect yet, and 2) because my experience has been contrary to what you wrote above. As I've viewed it, this account's tweets have turned out to be mostly correct. Then again, I haven't followed them closely enough to know what % of their tweets have been incorrect.

Regardless, you're absolutely welcome to be struck that way. Twitter is an open internet forum, and the old rule of thumb applies. Just like it does here.

Agreed. Honestly the biggest thing I’m worried about right now is not the next 3-4 years. It’s what happens after that! Let’s say Buster and Santucci leave, King and Philo leave, we go 5-7 and look very suspect. It’s not far fetched to see players leaving in a mass exodus.

Or what if you end up parting with a coach? Look at Marshall right now. Their coach demands more money and when he can’t get it basically the entire team transfers. Who knows what kind of cash that guy was demanding in negotiations, but seriously…maybe Marshall couldn’t afford it. So every player goes and they essentially start over?

This whole thing is beyond broken. Everything is super fragile for EVERY team. Even uGA is one small event away from being the worst team in the SEC due to some crazy exodus of coaches and players.

I guess in some ways it’s cool. There’s more parity. But it’s also difficult to build anything that’s not fragile.

The last thing on your mind should be 5-6 years from now. 6 years ago we were under Paul Johnson, under Todd Stansbury, with Bud Peterson as president. 5 years ago Brent Key was in Tuscaloosa, HK was in high school, and Aaron Philo was in middle school. 4 years ago it looked like the Pac-12 would absorb Texas/OU and become the modern super conference, not disappear entirely.

5+ years is a long, long, long time away in CFB so let’s enjoy the present.

If I were completely transparent here, I would admit to not having any better offers. I tried hard to leave.

It's a twitter account - they tend to be pretty reliable, but definitely not 100% accurate. They seem to be fairly well connected and have pretty good info...they're worth a follow...
