Redshirting players at Tech makes no sense if they can play. Many players will get their degree in three years and then transfer with their GT degree and two years left to play. We develop them, give them a degree and they give their best years to someone else. Sigh.
Right now it seems to me it is working well for both parties, we're in an upgrading mode each year as our recrutitng gets better and better, they contribute some, get a GT degree and then go some where else get them selves a little money, playing time and see if the league is interested and on with their life with a GT degree in hand. Looks to me like a win win for all.

Huh? How does it help Tech if they leave and play their best years somewhere else? How is redshirting them and losing a year of their production a "win" for us?
