Waller was in for the first series. Haven't seen him since. Kind of limped off the field... Hope he didn't get hurt.
Thanks.

1st TD in the game scored with 0:27 to go in the game.

Neely looked pretty bland. Didn't get burned; stayed in his zone on pass. Played patient on the run and had a tackle.

Someone probably mentioned this, but I'm a little rushed and I haven't read the entire thread, but if I was a GM (Falcons I'm looking at you) I would have my doctors tell me if waller could add 20-30 pounds onto his frame and I would take waller late if he's available somewhere in rounds 5-7 and he would be my TE. He may not be an every down player unless he learns to block really well, but he could be really great in the redzone and could be a safety blanket for a QB across the middle.

Video footage from yesterday's East-West Shrine Bowl practice.
Waller @ 5:03 mark
Nealy @ 5:46 mark

Waller comes off the LOS very athletically and forcefully. If he makes a team, very few DB's are going to get the better of him coming off the line.

To be sure, teams will take a flyer on most if not all of these guys BUT the cold fact is that none of them with the possible exception of Smelter is the "NFL prototype" for their position. I know it is ridiculous but that the way it is. Someone will throw the book out the window and take a chance on Shaq and get a fine offensive lineman. Johnson, Neely and Waller have some work to do. Just my opinion.

Waller is a prototype TE. His measurables are almost precisely like Tony G, Waller is just a bit taller and less muscular.

Shaq Mason time!

OG Shaq Mason, Georgia Tech (6-1, 305, 5.20)
Like offensive skill players in Baylor's offense, it's tough to properly evaluate offensive line play in the Yellow Jackets triple option offense. But Mason's balanced athleticism and mean streak routinely stood out at guard for Georgia Tech, making his transition to a pro-style scheme intriguing. Mason is currently flying under the radar, but I'll bet he's a “riser” after Mobile.
