Call and give them his phone number

Sorry, he and I were never on a first name basis. I was usually calling him out of his name, tbh.

But hey, let's ruffle some feathers, you and me...

Let's recommend the name that'll guarantee 'da U' defense won't ever get over the hump......

Does anybody have Ted Roof's number?

Saw a rumor from On3 that Miami has Tooch’s phone number. TAMU as well. And no. I’m not panicking. If we can keep him we will and if not I am confident Brent will find a good replacement.

Really hope we do keep him. He did a very good job with the defense this year. We seemed to know what we were trying to actually do this year on defense!

TAMU not surprising since Elko is there and was his previous boss. But if you are trying to further your career, not sure why you'd go back to the old boss in the same position unless you've been unsuccessful in the new spot.

I’m also wondering why Elko wouldn’t have just brought him in last year. If he wanted him, that would have seemed like the right time

My understanding was that Santucci wanted to get out from under Elko's shadow and show that he could run a defense himself.

Five of the preseason top six teams in the ACC fired their defensive coordinators after the season

We all know what preseason means. Makes for a more sensational headline than using the actual end-of-season rankings.
FSU was a remarkable failure. I don’t think anyone would have predicted how bad they fell.

#2 Clemson won the conference. Miami was 3rd as predicted. Louisville was predicted correctly and VT was mid pack as predicted. NCST was not close to their preseason ranking.

SMU was an unknown that way over performed. Syracuse also over performed as did GT but that group was mid pack ACC.

Preseason predictions missed big on FSU and SMU. The rest were fairly reasonable.

SMU was considered to have the easiest schedule at the beginning of the season.

To be fair, NCST could have had a much better season had McCall not gotten a concussion and subsequently retired. Speaking of, he has been hired as an offensive analyst back at Coastal Carolina.

The comment was 5 of the top 6 preseason teams changed DC's. My point was that 5 of the top 6 final teams did not change DC's. Again, it's much more sensational to use the guesses at the beginning of the season than the actual results earned on the field. Not everything is an indictment of the polls.
