You ain't wrong. Etienne is going to be a problem.Pretty sure they won’t have money downs. Just 1st, 2nd and Touchvowns.

Curry will be exposed.... I bet Dabo pulls Etienne by half and lets the Backuos torch our slow LB... Last year the score was 52-14.... if we can show improvement on the offense....and score 28... 52-28 would be an improvementYou ain't wrong. Etienne is going to be a problem.
Not saying that they don't coach them to try and get better, but still doesn't seem like we're getting better
This opportunity gives real GT fans an easy way to figure out who to blockThere’s all kinds of posts in people’s draft folder just waiting for Saturday to tell us all. Isn’t it amazing that even when we win a ****ing game some people can’t say something nice?!
So, if I may, what are you guys going to complain about when our defense does have a favorable statistic when it comes to getting off the field on 3rd down and we still call it Money Down?
Agreed that Curry isn't an all world linebacker, but it is telling that statistically he is one of our best ones. He wouldn't start or play the number of snaps that he does if he wasn't one. He is a leader on and off the field. A leader/captain of a team isn't always the best athlete, but one of the most committed and hardest working players.
There is nothing anyone would complain about, unless they are sensitive to loud noises. In which case, they should stay home and watch on TV.So, if I may, what are you guys going to complain about when our defense does have a favorable statistic when it comes to getting off the field on 3rd down and we still call it Money Down?
It was made to emphasize that third downs are the most important for a defense, but we let up third and 12 or longer like it's nothing and I haven't seen us blitz at all on third it feels like. So I'm asking can we show some improvement doesn't have to be instant, but some blitzes to get them to hurry up the play and get him uncomfortable would be nice.Which has nothing to do with whatever the "money down" thing is.
Our 3rd down conversion rate is just like anything/everything else right now ... work in process. And there's no switch that can be flipped to instantly improve it.
I think we all agree we need to get better. Where we differ is in identifying the gimmick as part of the problem. They're two separate things.

Maybe try “they are what they are” ....? LolYeah, I think that's where I'm at on Curry. I'm done worrying about his shortcomings. It is what they are(huh?). There's probably a lot of value in his ability to direct guys, diagnose plays, lead, etc. My hope is that we find a guy with high-level tools athletically that can also do the cerebral stuff.
I'd hoped Swilling would be that guy but, as time goes on, I'm wondering if his ranking as a recruit was a bit inflated. I don't have the expertise to figure why he hasn't been impactful other than special teams.
The move to RB is odd considering we have at least 3 dudes there that appear to be far better.
