I can't see any way we are competitive in this game. Since we cannot hurry a quarterback, any quarterback capable of playing catch with a receiver will put up big numbers on us. And if their guy is good as everyone says, so much the worse. We may move the ball, but without the line to push it in near the goal, our scoring total will not be nearly enough. But that is really great news. I have been exactly wrong almost every week in how we play.

We will move the ball, but we’ll also have a lot of 3 and outs because between Patedaude‘s play calling and Sims inconsistency we won’t sustain many drives. Hence, like all our other games our opponent will simply out score us and we will be scratching our heads again.

We’ve seen this for 2 years now. We have dynamic playmakers and look awesome on offense at times. But, there is no consistency so between turnovers and punts we give the ball back to our opponent far more than they give it to us. Hence, they score more. UNC and KSU had so many turnovers that we were able to outscore them. Until we can score TD’s in the red zone and turn punts into FG’s we will continue to lose with our defense. If our defense had a pulse then our inconsistency wouldn’t be such a detriment to winning.
