I posted data showing that we scored in the top 20 points per opportunity from the redzone two of CPJ’s final three years, and your response is we couldn’t score from inside the five? We averaged 5.5 points every time we entered the redzone in 2018 and 2016. Are you actually asserting that we averaged 5.5 without scoring a td from within the 5?
For the last time...it looks terrible that we can't punch it in from close to the goal line. The 5 yd line or the inside the 10. Take your pick. And it happened during at least the closing years of the previous regime. That's all I was saying. For the last time.

I compiled the stats from 2018, otherwise known as the last year of CPJ. We were 39/43 on opportunities within the 10 yard line. 33/35 inside the 5. Scoring % was 9037 and TD % was 81.4%. I excluded one possession against Miami where we kneeled out inside the 10 to seal the game.

With the injuries to Cooper and his back up Smith and with RJ gimpy , the run inside game plan was unrealistic. Then we throw a quick pass over middlle to 5-10 guy. Come on man!

When it was failing, the HC should have stepped in to mix.
The HC failed.
It looked like a clown show .
NOW LETS GET BETTER AT PLANNING AND IN GAME ADJUSTMENTS.

Why do you believe it is besmirching a former staff? I was merely pointing similar performance issues that this staff and the last staff had.
Really? You were pointing out how the current staff have a problem because they coach our OL to “ flop block”, similar to what the prior staff did? I must have missed that.

Oh brother! Have you been following my comments throughout this thread? I struggle also following stuff on these boards.

I'm signing off this one. Good day!

"it looks terrible that we can't punch it in from close to the goal line" How would you define "can't punch it in"?
Since you continue to harp on this without providing any substantive data to back up your claim, I took the time to compile our total points per possession inside the 10 yard line. Going back to 2014 I consolidated the number of points scored and total number of drives reaching "goal to go" at any point in the drive. I took the sum of points and divided by the total drives. I removed any game that included an FCS team to clean the data and to make it more fair. I include the top 25 teams along with Georgia Tech to display how we compared. Contrary to what you continue to harp about, GT actually was better in 2017 and 2018 than any of the prior 3 three years. We were not excellent every year, but it's hard to say GT "can't punch it in from the goal line" when they averaged 33 best in the country over that 5 year span. Included 2019, 2020, and 2021 for comparison sake (NIU is not included since ESPN does not have PBP data available for that game. It ends up helping us out).

Could only include top 10 teams due to character limit.
