Wow a necro-bump from someone likely with a personal relationship with Kyle got you guys all riled up and going at it that easily. I'm making some assumptions based on their first and only post being in a thread about him. Seems like they came here looking for something.
Bottom line is I don't think any of us were happy to see him go. But we've hashed out the challenges of the grad student athlete at GT ad nauseum. It just seems to be a fact of life we all have to deal with. Is there anyone that watched him play this year and said, "boy, I'm glad he's gone?" Highly doubt it. Even the poster that got called out pointed out one issue he noticed and closed with "we could use him forreal though."
Congrats on the accolades, Kyle. Wish you could have continued it for Ma Tech. Good luck on Sundays next year.
When you have a major construction accident, you do a root cause.- whats right next to the accident.
" Glad only a few got hurt. No body is glad. It is what it is" don't get in the report.
One of the reasons that he said he left is he thought he would get better coaching. Did he? KK was good with gt coaching and an ALL American at the other school. He got better coaching and was better utilized.
I sit behind the players bench near the Defense end. TFP was always subing in dl guys because they were getting a little tired. Prior to TFP guys like Gamble& Gotsis played till they dropped. Imo, a STUD player doent get rotated like TFP did. Guys would get in and then be pulled to stay fresh. TFP told TStan thats thier plan and he had a grmt grad who played DL in pros to give them tips.
We clearly have better coaching now, we need to stay focused on that position on staff veing elite. .
