Imo, miami was shocked at physicallility of our dt. Loved it that 99 and 88 both on field at start. 99 is haynes roomate.

At tailgate when i talked to a few qb room folks, i heard hit in unc caused shoulder injury. Not while throwing. At mary mac tea room heard samething from better reference point. Glad that next man up in qb room is alive and well. Haynes seemed just bruised up ( to be fast = no padding).
Wonder if Philo lower right leg injury on long run was just a bruise or in ankle.

This offense is measuably tough on qb.

I wonder if Josh f’n Nesbit would agree with your last sentence ice!! ;)

Jk of course. I thought many times that their quarterback could have gashed us by running. But that’s not a good business decision as the kids nowadays say.

On the TV broadcast they mentioned that King’s arm injury was such that running couldn’t damage it further, but that passing could. Sounds like something related to rotation (Maybe rotator cuff?)

Haynes (RB) injury looked more like he failed concussion protocol.

I would be curious to know who is going to be OK for the next game, as had a lot of guys go down at various points in that game. Burrell was out, Harvey went down (did he get back in?), Efford staggered off at one point (but I think he did get back in, given given his shoulder being limp I don’t know how). Akexander on offense went out and did not return…and we never saw Pyron even for the obvious QB sneak situations (is he hurt also?).

There were a LOT of hard hits (and some dirty ones) in that game.

Harvey came back. Didn’t see Efford come back. Good to see our TEs out there and Harrison Moore back in his regular jersey. I think Jamal will be fine. What about Sylvain? Did he come back? Makius was a cramp I think. Anyone know anything about Gibbs and Burrell?

Watching on TV you could see a brace on his shoulder - Efford was wearing something similar. Also, on the short TD pass it looked more like a shot put than a pass. All that leads me to believe a rotator cuff or ligament injury is most likely, something that restricts the shoulders range of motion.

We’ve got until next Thursday before the next game. As it turns out the extra time some stressed over early is doing us a favor.

Yeah, I don’t know what that means, but that seems to confirm what many of us suspected all year; he hasn’t been 100% all season, which is probably why the play calling all year has felt like they are “afraid” to have him throw the ball deep etc
I'm not sure about his injury history from A&M. His current injury is an AC Sprain (AKA separated shoulder), which can require 4-6 weeks to heal for minor sprains - much longer for more severe sprains (i.e. 6 months) or may require surgery.

That's assuming rest and rehab. He's a helluva tough dude. I separated my shoulder in high school and it ended my sophomore wrestling season.

I have a hard time thinking the “2 QB” offense will work as well as it did Saturday consistently, but even if King can’t throw, it’s hard to keep him on the sideline.

He can throw well enough for 80 percent of the offense. We were really only sending Philo in for shot plays which is why he played the second drive. We ran the ball most of the time still.

I posted #346 conversation update in Gt Mia postgame to comment on Ncst and Uga being ready for our "qb A = run and qb B = pass" mystery offense that fooled Mia . Only worse coach is at FSU.

It has info on injury and recovery.

Recovery plan should allow King to make the mid length gash plays that philo threw.
Dont sleep on philo getting some called plays to stockton, blackburn& and other 2 guys. That could go for Pyron faking utm and throw jump ball to blackburn.

We are dangerous

Isn’t it interesting to read some posters on this forum stating (they’re actually speculating) what they believe King can or cannot do with his injured shoulder, without having any inside knowledge of the extent of his injury.

Fantastic homecoming win this past Saturday, by the way.

As a Physical Therapist, I know all sprains are graded as to their severity. An actual “ separated shoulder “ is the worst case scenario. Grades 4-6 mean complete separation, torn ligaments , etc. usually caused by a MVA and subsequent surgery to repair. More likely it’s a moderate sprain- grade 2 , IMHO.

I've been thinking it's an AC sprain. I've had it before, and it hurt my ability to throw the football/baseball more than 10-20 yards, and definitely couldn't put any velocity into it. Didn't affect much of my ability to play, outside of throwing anything.

Which is basically what was reported on Saturday about King

I was watching at a Buffalo Wild Wing in Navarre. Didn't have any audio during the game. Did hear the tears of some Miami fans in there... :)
It was very early on in the broadcast and was quickly mentioned but the sideline reporter did say that he was assured he couldn't injury his shoulder any worse running the ball and that's all that was said. The rest was implied which it seems everybody but the UM coaching staff understood lol

Curious if the few weeks off after UGA is enough for him to be healthy for the bowl game in that case.

How do you know this about his current injury? Just curious. I haven’t heard or read anything official about the diagnosis of his injury, but I don’t keep track of all the team news, so I may have missed this.
