That was a Laskey catch. I agree if he leads him thats a TD. The LB was behind him and would have never been able to make a play if the ball would have been thrown out in front of him, Laskey has good hands. I think he made a over the shoulder against Duke for a TD last year and a 70 yarder against UVA 2 years ago when TW was the QB.
Not so sure about that, it's hard to tell if there were two on Smelter when JT still had the ball in his hands. Our field of view is too small to tell. Most likely one of those two guys was covering the Aback and peeled off when he saw the throw to the sideline. He appeared to be covering Smelter when the field off view opened up.Missed the A back wide open in the middle of the field had two guys on Smelter

Yes, but what we can't see is the whole field prior to the pass. I think one of those guys that appears to be on the wr was covering the aback then peeled off after the throw.I think its either Perkins or hill that is the left A-back. When JT drops back to pass if you look at middle of the field when the ball is in the air you will see that both the corner and safety have their back to the ball running with the WR in the top right of the screen (I assume the WR is Smelter or it could be Summers I can't see the number) leaving the other safety to guard the other WR and A-back simultaneously.
great view there long...this shows me if it was a better pass that was a TD. he threw it behind Laskey who had to adjust. Pretty good catch though and looks like a 24 yard gain. That's a pretty good gain IMO.
It was a back shoulder throw. If you try to throw over the defender, you have a much greater chance at an incompletion/interception.
