Is the bowl streak salvageable?

Well the thing for me is that UGA can still go 9-3 or 8-4 pretty easily. USC has a clear issue with the HC.

I feel like GTs issues are just so far out of left field. Just needed a 9-3 or 8-4 season to keep going. Just insane.

Oh I understand, and I am completely disappointed--more than disappointed, stunned. Yes, the mutts can still be 9-3, but they hate 9-3. They have a coach that averages 9 wins a year that they want shed of. They were picked to win the SEC East, go to the playoffs, win it all. If they go 8-4 they will be suicidal. If we could have won 9 games this year, even if it was 9-4, we would have won 20 games in 2 years. It would have been uncharted territory for Tech in the modern times. We couldn't do it. Realistically we probably won't ever do that. And the wins are one thing, the playing just so poorly is another. I was prepared for losing a few games, even though we played well. I never dreamed we just wouldn't show up. And that was foolish of me having seen Kansas and MTSU, and Air Force.

Maybe. But definitely not if our seniors continue to pull off helmets, hit/retaliate well after the whistle, and get ejected. That's the **** that has been frustrating me. These guys are losing it. Gotsis wasn't intentional but the correct call was made.

When a team has a decent, but not great, season, the line is that a bowl game is good because it (1) gives the school some good PR going into recruiting season, and (2) is a reward for the players. I would argue that there are a lot of bowls out there — the majority, perhaps — that no one watches except fans of the schools involved and football addicts, and that those games don't give any positive PR to amount to anything. I'd also argue that some of those bowls are in places that the players don't feel is a reward. Therefore, while the streak is kind of neat, GT people are probably the only folks in the world that even know it exists. I'd rather us just get whatever is wrong with the team fixed, and show some progress through the balance of the season, win or lose.
