The only thing official is suspended last week and next week for violation of team rules.

IF JD can help us win, we need him on the field.

Although the details are not a "public fact" - thus the MJ conjecture is not truly known to be what the issue is - he did something to warrant a two game suspension. Very selfish action by a player who already "grew up" and accepted responsibility for poor grades.

He can sit out the rest of the way for all I care. Let's get the youngun's some PT. This is a 180 for me but so be it.

I agree with this. He has been nothing but a dissapointment after all of the hype he had leading into this year. To follow that up by getting suspended for what seems to be smoking some weed is more than enough IMO to just move on. Hope he gets his degree, but he obviously doesn't appreciate the opportunity he's been given. I'd be perfectly fine with the team moving on and getting the young guys some reps.

Hopefully a bunch of live game reps will continue to develope Kallon and will give Henderson some good experience heading into next year.

I say this mostly for the next two games. If he will help us beat the dwags and gets his act together I would be fine with that. All hands on deck for that game. Hopefully we can help them escort Richt out the door.

We are all upset at a kid BECAUSE HE DISAPPOINTED US. I realized we often live vicariously through these young men, but one of the goals of college sports (once upon a time) was to provide a vehicle for SA's to mature, develop, and hopefully grow up. Give Jabari some leeway. He might need the process a whole lot more than, say, his brother.

A bit off subject, but I thought Kallon played at least as well as Hunt has after getting rid of the jitters in the first quarter. I was pleasantly surprised.

Not enough to want him on the field instead of Gotsis, of course; Adam plays and we win that game, easy. Still, Kallon did ok.

I remember thinking the same. Only thing I wished he'd stop doing is bear-hugging the ballcarrier and rolling the runner forward a few yards during his tackle.

So does this mean Glanton or Morgan lose their redshirt?
I doubt this far into the (completely wasted) season we would pull a redshirt off a kid unless we literally had nobody else to fill that spot. If we were in the hunt for the ACC title it might be worth considering, but with the way this season has gone there would be no point. Much more likely that a walk on gets minutes or we go to more 3 down linemen looks.

In his defense, Hunt wasn't responsible for the hype he got. He has not been the dominant defensive tackle we expected, but that doesn't make him useless, either. Plus, as I understand it, it wasn't even his GPA that got him in trouble; it was the progress toward graduation. Let's hope he can come back for the Miami and UGA game and let loose.

He didn't live up to the hype, but what is disappointing me or any fan is of little importance. He disappointed and let down his teammates. What he did (or didn't do) on the field matters not at this point. He fell behind in the classroom and missed a year of playing with his brothers. To follow that up with doing something selfish to get suspended for 2 games is beyond dissapointing and further proof of the lack of leadership on this team. He was/is a guy that the younger kids should be looking up to for guidance, not as an example of what not to do.

All I know is if he were my teammate, I would be pretty upset. I hate losing and seeing something like this happen towards the end of the year makes it look like he doesn't care (whether that is a fair assessment or not). And if it is what most seem to think it is (mj), than that means this is not his first offense. If I remember correctly, 1st=slap on the wrist, 2nd=2 games, 3rd=kicked off the team.

I'm sure this comes off as harsh, but put yourself in the shoes of a freshman DL or even Justin for that matter. Sitting at 3-5 with some momentum after beating the #9 team only to find out that a 5th year senior got suspended because he couldn't wait until Dec to enjoy some recreational activities. So when I'm saying some of this stuff, it's coming from the competitor in me.

I wish Jabari nothing but the best in his future endeavors. I hope he cures cancer or invents something to provide clean water for underdeveloped countries in a cost effieicnt way. I will continue to pull for him and the rest of the guys the rest of the way, but I still think he let his teammates down. I think Paul has given him plenty of leeway of which is great. Like you said, it takes some kids longer to grow up than others and we don't know everyone's situation. I'm sure he's learned a lot from battling back to get eligible, but if he did get suspended for what he's rumored to have been suspended for, that's just selfish IMO.
