How Much Time Is Reasonable To Evaluate CDS?

Anyone comparing our situation to Louisville has no f'ing clue what they're talking about. Maybe they didn't bring in All Americans, but they landed damn good players in the portal. They could be selective in the portal and target who they wanted, and they weren't concerned about being out-bid.

Yes, Kelsey has done an amazing job, even when you consider the resources he has available, but they're winning because they have 12 guys who are either senior, 5th year senior, or grad transfer.. Having older, experienced guys that have talent is the answer. Another big difference is that Kelsey was able to bring guys that were already very good in his system with him. That helped the acclimation period for everyone else.

Rebuilding is far more difficult than some are making it out to be. As a GT hoops fan, we should all know that better than anyone—we’ve been stuck in a rebuild for over a decade.

It’s especially tough without the necessary resources and commitment. That’s been a relatively recent improvement for GT basketball, but even now, it’s still not where it needs to be.

If you think this produce is a relatively recent improvement you are the one that doesn’t have a f’ing clue. My point is that relatively speaking, Louisville’s improvement has been greater than GT’s improvement and, for the record, the “rebuild” is now two decades of ****.

You keep looking at the program through your cuck colored glasses and I have had enough, with you and your **** and being a hoops season ticket holder.

Take Louisville out of the equation Kelsey was having success prior to & it has followed him.

GT basketball has never been close to what Louisville Basketball has been. I doubt it ever will be what Louisville Basketball is.

If you want a model for Georgia Tech to follow, you could look towards Auburn. We have a lot in common with them - they build a beautiful state-of-the-art venue in Neville Arena in 2010 that mirrors McCamish Pavilion. The team struggles for four years under HC Tony Barbee only putting a few thousand fans in the seats. However, in 2014 they drop the big bucks to acquire Bruce Pearl after his show cause due to NCAA violations at Tennessee. In his 5th year, he leads Auburn to the Final Four and their home barn becomes a fortress where tickets are so in demand that it’s $400/game for big matchups and they don’t lose home games. Now they are the odds on favorite to win the national championship this year.

Point being, they were never really a proud program. We probably had a stronger program history than them prior to 2019, however they made a massive investment into their program that they were going to be finally good at basketball and it has paid dividends. We could have our own Bruce Pearl too, but it is going to take some serious cash. We can’t do more of these $2m/year hires that we’ve been making since Brian Gregory.
