How Much Time Is Reasonable To Evaluate CDS?

you know, with all the "we'll never win" stuff in this thread, maybe we should fold up basketball. some of you seem to think that regardless of coach, players, NIL, or anything else, we are doomed.

I think mostly that's excuse making for the lost 2 decades of GT basketball, but still.

Not sure who you think said we should be able to do it too..... they have so many more advantages over us it is a much steeper Hill for us to climb.
I spend a lot of time between here and Rivals, so it could have been there, but we both know a large portion of our fan base thinks that way.

The reality is, the program will always be compared to Lethal Weapon 3 and Bobby’s glory days. Unrealistic expectations has plagued Georgia Tech hoops fan many of years.

The thing is, most of us read these comments but really don’t give them any credence. It’s an internet chat site, nothing more. Idiotic statements are discarded, intelligent comments are noted, we are smart enough to move on. It’s just a game. We support the Jackets financially but aren’t influenced by keyboard krazy’s. Go Jackets. To hell with the freaking leghumpers.

And…once in a while, there is a real gem hidden down in these threads. I’m still optimistic about Tech basketball and not because I’m ignoring reality but because everything in college sports is in flux right now and if anyone is smart enough to navigate this new landscape it’s Tech.

For those of us lucky enough to have enjoyed those years, and especially for those that enjoyed the lates 60's and early 70's success, the last couple of decades have been disappointing for sure. BUT, we hold out hope for the breakthrough to get us back in the NCAA Tourney each year, okay at least 4 out of every 5 years, and ACC Championships every few years along the way.

You're definitely a raw breed if you have hung in this long without giving up! It's similar to when you hear that one song, it just takes you back.

When we get into the post-season, I think that it takes us all back to the point in time where GT was a force to be reckoned with, and we get to relive those moments for a while.

For me, I was 11-12 years old when Dennis Scott stole that ball and drained the game winner. Just like that, a fanatic was born.

Looking forward to reliving some of that my son.
