But look at Bammers OOC, Louisville, Citidal, Louisiana and Arkansas State? I mean how can people say that the SEC is the best conference? With the way they stack the OOC, they should only lose each other. Thank goodness for the Saturday after Thanksgiving when the ACC shows everyone that the SEC, or SunBelt with more students, is overrated for the most part.

(For 2018 there are 70 P5 and 60 Group of 5 so I know the math isn't perfect right now but there are a couple of teams moving into Group of 5 in the next 2-3 years)All P5 should play 1 Group of 5 and 1 FCS to go along with 2 P5 teams. Group of 5 are limited to only one P5 game a year. Independents, join a conference, get over yourself. If no conference wants you, here's a hint; you bring nothing to the table. Drop football or drop divisions. See how easy that was?
Tennessee's and Georgia's OOC Schedule are about even

Georgia: Austin Peay,MTSU,UMass and Georgia Tech

Tennessee: West Virginia(In Charlotte),ETSU,UTEP and Charlotte

Really hope they win out ahead of our game so we can crush their hopes of going back to the CFP.

An 11-1 regular season would not accomplish that, unless you're working off the assumption they would then lose to Bama or maybe Auburn in the SEC title game. Which wouldn't be a bad assimption. However, 11-2 would likely land uga in the Sugar Bowl or another NY6 bowl game like the Peach, which continue their momentum

Frankly, I never want the mutts to win any games, regardless of how sweet it would be to beat them if they are undefeated.

Georgia's toughest 2 games will be against South Carolina and Auburn. I hate how easy the SEC East is...and I'm sure Georgia will be considered to have gone through the "SEC Gauntlet." I also think we can upset them again up in Athens!!! Would love for that to happen!! Go Jackets!!

UGAG i think will lose to South Carolina,LSU and Auburn in the SEC and GT will trip them up on their way to an SECCG Slaughter by Alabama.

A 5-3 record likely puts them 2nd in the East. If the Cocks beat uga and then uga loses two more conference games (LSU and Auburn in your scenario) then they probably win the East.

But let's be realistic. Uga isn't losing to South Carolina, LSU, AND Auburn. 8-4 is considered a bad year for uga and they will be better than that. There would have to be several things go wrong for uga to finish worse than 10-2.

No, you misread the article and the interpretations.

The article says we should lose. Are you telling me we should be predicted by the pundits to win @ Athens? I mean you're crazy if you think so. Now having said that, the article pointed out they haven't beaten us at home since 2012. They article said they should go 4-0 OOC and Georgia Tech was the only possible road bump.

We play about 2x the number of 8 wins teams that they do every year. That's absolutely a reason to ridicule them. And their graduation rate. And their arrest rate. They've sold their soul to win football games, we have not. So its absolutely appropriate to make fun of the fact that even with an easy schedule they still struggle to beat us and still can't win a natty and haven't even finished ranked but 3 of the last 5 years.

Well , no matter what WE think, the Dwag die hards will consider the season a failure if they are not National champs THIS season. That's how delusional they have become. They will be in everybody's sights this year, no surprising anyone. I feel that have AT LEAST- 3 players they cannot replace this year : Chubb, Michel , Roquan Smith. And that's without thinking about it too much. Sure, they have an easy schedule and will BLOW OUT their 3 OOC opponents. That will only serve to add to their overconfidence,
I'm picking 8-4 and a major disappointment for them.

Georgia Tech OOC games the past decade, this year, and next year (P5 or similar opponents):
2008: Mississippi State/Georgia
2009: Mississippi State/Georgia
2010: Kansas/Georgia
2011: Kansas/Georgia
2012: BYU/Georgia
2013: BYU/Georgia
2014: Georgia
2015: Notre Dame/Georgia
2016: Vandy/Georgia
2017: Tennessee/Georgia
2018: Georgia
2019: Georgia

Georgia
2008: Arizona State/GT
2009: Arizona State/Oklahoma State/GT
2010: Colorado/GT
2011: Boise State/GT
2012: GT
2013: Clemson/GT
2014: Clemson/GT
2015: GT
2016: North Carolina/GT
2017: Notre Dame/GT
2018: GT
2019: Notre Dame/GT

Seems comparable. Both teams have a few years where they were each other's only OOC game against a major opponent. No, I don't count Tulane, South Florida, or Georgia Southern, etc. A major oppenent is a team from a P5 conference, BYU, Boise State, or Notre Dame.

Guess it depends who you think is a tougher group: Miss State, Kansas, BYU, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Vandy, Georgia OR Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Colorado, Boise State, Clemson, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech.
Where were the games played?

Where were the games played?

Most of them were home and away. GT played Tennessee neutral site in Atlanta, obviously. Uga played Colorado in Boulder, Oklahoma State in Stillwater, and Boise State and North Carolina neutral site in Atlanta.

For 2020, GT has UCF and Notre Dame scheduled and uga has Virginia as a neutral site oppenent in Atlanta.

Not sure if serious???

Uga could easily lose to all 3 of those teams.

South Carolina is overhyped (they lookee good last year because UF and UT sucked and they still scraped by them) and LSU lost quite a bit of production from last year. They lose their leading rusher, top two wide receivers, a few offensive linemen, and a top tackler. There's a reason they're getting lots of 6-6/7-5 predictions for their season. Most sportsbooks have them set at 7 or 7.5 wins. The toughest aspect of those two games will be the venue in which they're played. Cock fans usually have Willie B. rocking, even when they're not that great, and the real Death Valley speaks for itself.

It's always great to beat Georgie;)

Did they tear up our field after the win last year? I left with a minute or two on the clock. I heard they didn’t. I think if they didn’t mess up BDS, maybe we shouldn’t tear up their hedges when we beat them this year. We should go in like we own the place and we wouldn’t tear up our own hedges. [emoji41]
