In Men’s basketball, we’re constantly vying for recruits against Xavier and other schools that we rarely if ever play. Basketball seems to be national recruiting.

The recruiting budget is much lower in WBB. Look at coaching salaries for instance.
Coach Gene Hill told me once, that the foreign players he recruited here and then at NC St., are flyers that you take. Good students who enjoy their future potential here, in a game they love. Coach Purcell ventured into Tenn., but mostly Ga.
When at Zelnak one day, I ran into a pre-med. recruit from Marietta, a computer engineering student from Atlanta-Fulton. Neither wound up here. LeLe Love started from a connection the staff had. We had to be fairly certain before going to Kansas, without Dorothy’s slippers for one recruit.

Gamecocks add ACC's top freshman as transfer

Reigning ACC Freshman of the Year Kamilla Cardoso is transferring to South Carolina from Syracuse, coach Dawn Staley announced.

It will be interesting to see how Cardosa meshes with Boston. There is a very small space in the lane for bigs that can only play there.

She is very talented, but also an extremely hard worker. I am looking forward to seeing this winner in white & gold.

If I had to bet on a player becoming a star at the next level, it would be Nicole. She has that desire to get better each day. Hard worker, tireless. Her daddy is going to make certain she grows as a person, with the academics not getting lost in the shuffle. Great family, am being told. Don’t you just enjoy getting to know and follow, true Student Athletes?

I too echo those thanks @orientalnc !! I am so proud of our women. They work so hard and are such good representations of our Institute. I'm fired up about Nell, she is the real deal.

There are going to be really fun days ahead for our WBB program.

I’m probably more jacked about being able to go back to see WBB next Fall (season ticket-holder) than to see MBB (also STH).

Excellent fundamentals in that video. Hands always in the right place, good footwork, nice job hedging on the picks and denying the entry pass into the lane resulting in a 3 second call. Amazing what good coaching can do and this video is a good example of that. Note that two of the players on the floor for us in that segment were true freshmen.
