GT should be ranked in the top 25

Weren’t you just arguing the rankings are garbage in another thread? No team we beat is good. One is mediocre (UVA), two are bad (Miami and VT), and the others are godawful (UNC, Louisville, BGSU, Alcott State).

Alcorn. Alcorn State.

I just looked at ESPN's coach's ranking and GT did not get 25 votes. BC got 22, App St got 18. Troy 22, UAB 12, GaSt 10, Ginny 2, Ga So 1, Buff 1, and GT...not shown.
I think they did mean GT instead of GaSt. Tech is showing up on CBS Sports, NCAA, and USA Today. GaSt currently has a 2-9 record...

Just checked CBS. Thanks. Haven't paid attention to State. Didn't realize they were that bad this year. You could be right about the dwag fan emptying trash cans at ESPN and convincing someone who knows how to use a computer to play a joke.

Don't care how many games they win. They are still Duke and we should be beating them like a drum. No excuse.

36. Duke, $23.47 million
It's tougher for the private schools to compete financially but both Duke and Stanford put every dollar earned by athletics back into athletics. Thanks to the success of its basketball program, Duke attributes just 34.6 percent of its athletic revenue to football. That ranks third-to-last in the ACC. Head coach David Cutcliffe deserves all the recent praise for the success he's gotten from the Blue Devils.

61. Georgia Tech, $17.38 million
Paul Johnson uses the triple-option as a talent equalizer and it helps him deal with a financial inequality as well. Georgia Tech has the second-smallest athletic budget in the country, though it does devote a good chunk of it to football.

The Yellow Jackets have played in bowl games in 19 of the past 20 seasons.
Duke is not the program they were a decade ago. They outspend us. The fact that we are competitive against all the teams we are competitive with is a testament to our staff.

Maybe we shouldn't be ranked right now, but we certainly have earned the votes we are getting.
