The article does say we were picked to finish last in the ACC only once, 1989. That history is A-OK with me.

In this case, however, there are reasons behind the pick. We are in a coaching transition and those don't always work out so well. (Tech's did last time, but that was different. TL : DR) Otoh, we do have good talent coming back and, if it is used carefully on O and the D picks up as I expect it will, then there's no reason why we can't do well in the coming season. How well is a question; there will be a gracious plenty of games with teams that are our equals in talent. Our coaches, however, seem to know what they are doing, something I think this assessment leaves out.

I'll be surprised if we finish last in the Coastal. I picked us for 6 - 6 awhile ago and I still think that's feasible. We could do better if the ball bounces our way. Let's hope it does.

I’ll willingly bet against us finishing last in the Coastal if someone knows where you can place such a bet. That being said I’d prefer to go head to head against someone the predickted us to finish last.

I just looked at VegasInsider, and they have our over/under at 5.5 wins http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/story.cfm/story/1923995/.

Last place might be 4-5 wins. Betting the “under” is nearly a bet for last place.

You might have to go to Atlantic City or Vegas to make a direct prop bet for last place; that’s not something I do, so it’s guesswork on my part. It’s a niche bet, so it’s iffy if you can get someone to take it, and the payoff of “not last place” is probably going to be something like $1 for $100 wagered.

That’s actually a pretty high number for the win total. I have seen a couple lately where the over/under is 4 and over is +120

Got $5k on over 4.5, +175. Wife talked me out of $25k.

We have little evidence of raw talent, but i think its there. It may not be elite but its solid talent.

I also think these guys have really worked hard in offseason.

Get the transfer dt from florida and the recriut from Alabama and we could shock some people w cgc chaos defense.
