I absolutely love Key as our HC! He still has A LOT to learn on in game coaching decisions, but his passion for this program, the players, and the school is unmatched and infectious! He is both tough and hard on the players but at the same time you can tell how much the players love playing for him. He also knows he is still learning how to be a head coach and really studies the game processes and works hard to get better.
Ain’t nobody could’ve done better than CBK considering the disaster he took over. ONLY a good football Coach could’ve turned it around like CK has. I love the dude and love watching GT win these games. Alabama should’ve made the call but I’m glad they didn’t 😁 Coach O’Leary and Ralph was his teacher so we shouldn’t be surprised…how sweet it is baby lol

It definitely was a masterclass in how to take a knee.
We’re all having fun with the knees to end it… and we should! What a perfect ending for this game!

BUT… how about MAJOR props for Singleton who gave himself up instead of scoring. Such a heads up (unselfish, mature, intelligent) play. In the heat of the moment, adrenaline going, and green grass in front, it’s hard to react and shut it down. Well done all around, but I had to get that shout out

Definitely a masterclass, not just from Key, but from Singleton also. What Christibol should learn. 1. End the game when it is mathematically over!!!! 2. Do not try to pad stats (refer to #1) 3. Don't be an idiot!!!! End the game when it is mathematically over!!!!

I also thought the take a knee play was interesting. Singleton got in between the center and QB facing the QB. I assume that is in case the QB drops the ball, there are two players looking directly at the ball to fall on it?

I couldn’t seem to get on the site yesterday because of all the activity and a slow connection speed.

This is how key wants to win games this year.

Control the ball, use clock.
Limit the touches for the opponent.
Be efficient on offense.
Limit mistakes.
Sticky defense that limits opponent efficiency.

And this will even work against the best offensive team in football when all goes according to plan. Felt like I was watching a CPJ master class.

Wow.

Seems somewhat lost in the overall victory celebration but when was the last time you saw this kind of TD catch by a GT receiver? Just wonderful for Chase! Great toss by Philo also.

Sorry -You have to sign in youtube. But the pic says it all!

I dapped up Chase after everyone stormed the field, was a great catch.

Getting ready to drive back home after the wedding, we'll read through a bunch of this tomorrow, but I really wonder how many of the Buster "haters" are going to tip the hat to him and the offense this week.
I have to admit that with King injured & maybe the Ginger also, Haynes and Alexander going down, that man pitched damn near a perfect game yesterday. I didn't like the 3rd & 1 lateral 2 yds behind the line play when King had a sure 1st down. I didn't like the Rutherford pass but that went for a TD. Damn near every other call he made was as good as anyone could have made. Philo TD to Lane, the 3rd and 18 play, the long 3rd down Rutherford dropped when he was wide open, the pass Philo threw behind Singletom that would have been another 1st down. Just good play call after good play call.

One thing we absolutely need to improve is running the kicks out to only the 15 yard line! If you cannot make the 25 please fair catch it every time or don’t even touch it.
I thought that after the first one, but then I thought what’s really the downside? It gives you a chance to break one and if you don’t, it gives you more field to chew up clock and keep the other team off the field.
