per Ramblinwreck.com,

the average weight of all players listed as OL in 2019 is 304 lbs. If you also include the 4 long snappers as well, the average is 290 lbs.

the average weight of all players listed as OL in 2018 is 298 lbs. Adding in the 4 LS, it's 286.

And just like scout did for Calvin rating, RW.com weight was retroactively updated. Go to the actual in season info

What is being included that is on depth chart is the none travel guys like a Harrison Jump and so on

I think Key and staff will bring a more earnest evaluation of talent based on specific need and based on their own abilities to evaluate rather than simply fishing for star ratings.

It seems potential for development is also getting factored in more now. “Diamonds in the rough” take a desire to find and skill to find them.

I have no idea how someone thought the factory approach would work at GT.

Key needs to hire Gailey as a talent consultant. Probably the most impressive evaluator of talent, and development of talent, of any coach on the Flats since I've been a GT fan. Seriously, look at how bad his recruiting classes were ranked compared to the number of guys he put in the NFL.

Key was just on a dysfunctional regime that acquired no less than four 4* in each of its full recruiting cycles. No need to set the bar low. He already has a 4* QB committed

Are we using the ibeeballin math from earlier in the thread or traditional basic math?

After seeing what Key could do after inheriting a totally dysfunctional football program I believe the following things to be true if Key had followed Johnson:

1. The transition would have been seamless and efficient.

2. Key would have had us in a bowl game within two years (or less).

3. We never would have gone down the road of blaming CPJ for the state of the program.

You literally posted the two deep and said “avg is 272” you said nothing about “recruiting weight” in that post

You literally do not know how to read. Let me say it slow like CPJ. The post before said that those guys were all over 300lbs and recruiting wait based on RW.com and that was not true. They also posted about the 260lbs misery again. Though CGC was stretched the truth it wasn’t far off and i posted the pre weight gains from Summer 2018.

You posted the bowl game. Your hate towards PJ is undeniably and your posting and love towards collins is pathetic. Up until he was fired you were still on the Collins train. Your guy is fired give up he was the worst coach in Tech history

You’re delusional man
According to ramblinwreckcom, the weights for the 2018 OL guys are listed below:

Jahaziel Lee 6'2" 308
Parker Braun 6'3" 280
Kenny Cooper 6'3" 325
Conner Hansen 6'2" 314
Zach Quinney 6'6" 315

Maybe those guys trimmed down to 260 just for the CGC weigh-in, but I don't understand the argument. Of course, Braun left to play at Texas (I guess they like 260 OL guys).

The freshman OL guys on that 2018 team, except for the walk-ons, all weighed 300 or better. So Johnson was not recruiting 260 pound guys. That whole notion is BS.

If you want to say those guys were all recruited to be run blockers and lacked the skill set for a pro-style offense, then I can somewhat agree. But GT was throwing the ball in the TO with more success than in the CGC offense.

Don't come back at me with the anti-Johnson posts. I believe he left GT when he was ready for the very reasons he stated. I loved watching the TO when it was successful, but agreed we needed to move away from that offense.

Good lord @Eli. Do you get it now!! Go eat a snickers, man

But what would we do with all the unused bandwidth?
Think of the filler those extraneous, wasted posts have provided and the hours of petulant folderol happily spent pouring over pointless minutiae.
