Gameday/ND/Tulane aside... I just noticed in the photo that Marcus Marshall is holding a ball as the team does sprints.

Not too surprising :D They are going to remind him every day about ball security! I wasn't overly concerned about the fumble, he got tomahawked pretty well and I'm sure he's learned from it but a reminder or two never hurts!

I like the clip. GT is turning the corner with their national image. As far as the struggling-with-hype stuff goes, I like what CPJ had to say at Hudson's Grill last week. He said being the "hunter" or the "hunted" absolutely doesn't matter and is a media invention. GT has had growing pains under Paul Johnson for reasons that go a lot deeper than believing the hype.

Up to now, there has been precious little hype to believe in anyway.

You win, good things happen. It's not complicated. CPJ will be the first person to tell you that.

All the pieces are there...we may not win them all, but we have the pieces on this team to beat any team in the country. ANY team.

Wait.... You're saying we can beat an sec team? Idk it's just been so long since we have done that :D

They pretty much moved the ball at will on Auburn and screwed themselves out of every drive. They handed Auburn 14 points to start the game.
Neither team impressed me. Auburn didn't look like anything approaching their level of hype. At least Louisville had an excuse, they are not ranked in the top 10.

And there's one of the biggest problems with preseason rankings.

None of this means anything to me. Heck, Herbie picks ASU to be in the playoff. They lost terribly last night to A&M. At this time of year, nobody outside of these programs really know what they have. Truthfully, even inside a program it is tough to know. That is why there exists all these grassy areas with white lines painted on them. Getting picked to win or getting picked not to win is irrelevant. I'm sure you guys are tired of me reinforcing this point all the time.

I watched AllBarn play Louisville yesterday too. The tiggers were gifted that game by a mentally challenged bunch of Cardinals. I was underwhelmed by the #5 War (maybe we should call them "Peace Keeping Mission") Eagles. Their QB, who is the next coming of Cam Newton supposedly, has a lot of work to do. It is safe to say, the hype machine is already in place. Aubie is a solid team, but they have to improve a ton for me to go along with top 5.
