Game 7 #GTvsUVA Predictions

We are coming off a bye week after a win with only 1 game that we weren’t competitive in all season. What makes us thinks a mediocre UVA is just going to dog walk us? I’m not saying we will easily win but damn we are sad to think we stand no chance against freaking UVA.

The game is less about the Cheese eating Surrender Monkeys and more about GT. What GT team shows up today? The seemingly well coached two back set and disciplined team ready to play physical football and knock some guys silly or the poorly coached run Gibbs up the middle 10 times for no gain, undisciplined celebrating getting your butt kicked, and so soft you’re getting slapped around like a little ***** team?

Hearing a lot about Armstrong but we got a QB who is averaging 10 yards per attempt, as well.

If you watched the UVA-Duke game, Armstrong TRIED to throw at least three picks. By that, I mean throwing it into the chest of the Duke defender. For the most part, they didn’t catch anything.
Sims’ QBR is moving up, and he’s closing in on Armstrong. He started at the bottom of the ACC after the NIU game. He has a few main hurdles to clear; 1. Make the small plays that move the chains (the slants, hit the TE, etc), 2. Work his progression faster, 3. Avoid negative plays.

If he does that, our offense will rock.

I predict the ACC officials will suck.

They'll suck, but it's comforting to know they're not biased in their suckiness. They're just as apt to suck in our favor as not.

Half your comment is spot on- they will suck.

The other half is dead wrong in my opinion. There’s about a 5% chance they will suck in GT’s favor, maybe a 20% chance their suckiness will be relatively neutral in impact, about a 30% chance they will suck in France’s favor, 25% it will be very noticeable, and a 20% chance they will blatantly, beyond any reasonable doubt, suck maliciously and purposefully against GT most egregiously at pivotal moments in the game. If they happen to make a call egregiously in GT’s favor, it’s way past the point it matters and is done merely to say “hey looky there, we’re not biased”. At least that’s what historically has been the norm.
