Those guys aren't really in the game. Hall substituted a club soccer team for our baseball team when he changed pitchers.I haven' been able to watch the game, but there is nothing more discouraging than giving up a 5-0 lead and committing 4 errors yielding 5 unearned runs to give the game away.
And looking at the box score, it's been our best defensive players who have been charged with the errors...Gonzo, Innis, and Gold.....geez!
I think we will be a middle of the pack team again, sad to say, because you just cannot beat yourself in this league....the talent level is way too even otherwise....
I still can't figure out why he took out the starting pitcher. He was dominating fsu and had only thrown around 40 pitches. You are right the game did a 180 when that substitution occurred. Those guys aren't really in the game. Hall substituted a club soccer team for our baseball team when he changed pitchers.
No panicking going on, if you have any Tech baseball over the last few years, you would know errors are Tech baseball. Defense has been a laughing stock. The bigger the game the worse it gets. As far as taking Zac out, he has had almost a year to stretch his arm out to be ready to pitch more than 40 pitches a outing. Just another typical danny hall team. It doesn't matter what kind of recruiting class he brings in, they all end the same way. History supports my case.He took Zac out because he hasn't pitched since last year. He was a dominant closer last year, but not a starter. I was surprised that he started today, but was encouraged by his outing. Definitely a frustrating game to watch as we killed ourselves with errors, wild pitches and some uncharacteristic pitching from the pen. We have a young staff and a pretty experienced lineup imo, which is encouraging for the rest of the year. No need to panic if you ask me. Let's get 1 tomorrow and start another winning streak.
Is Brandt Stallings in the dog house? He's batting over .300, highest rated OF that has made it on campus dating back to 2002 by Perfect Game (Kel Johnson right behind) and has more power than anybody on the team...yet Hall rather play someone struggling with the bat?
I suppose you are ok with the negative results and under achieving record the last several years. It has been 10 years since our last appearance in the CWS. For a program with the clout of techs that is terrible. Clemson fired Leggett and he never had a losing record in the conf his entire time at clemson. Let that sink in and their program isn't too shabby. He was on par with all the big time coaches, but clemson was tired of losing in regionals the last few years. Yes he got fired for losing in the regionsls. Tired not bipolar. Like our basketball program, baseball is in a steady decline. Results are what they are. You can choose to call out fans, but ugly losses are the norm now not the exception. If you like pi$$ poor play, you are a happy person.Man you guys are a bipolar bunch. One bad weekend and we're having a referendum on the season. Even if we lose today it's not the end of the world. There's 41 games left in the season. 27 more games in the conference. A lot of baseball left to play.
Be careful friend or you're going to be labeled on this board as a negative a hole who has unrealistic expectations. Are you also bipolar like me? LOLI am sick, disgusted, mad as Hell, and feeling like Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls the football away as he tries to kick it. I was so high on this team, and now I feel like an idiot. We were terrible and it wasn't just the youth. Some seniors really stunk it up, especially defensively.

Peurifoy has only played CF this year I believe and Stallings is more of a corner OF.I assume he was trying to get his best defensive team out there, as Stallings is not as solid a defensive OF as Peurifoy.
