For Funzies, what changes would you make on Offense?

RPO off the load option would be a great complementary play.

RPO off the 3o. BB sneaks out into the flats after the mesh, and AB is still the pitchman, but WR takes off instead of blocking.

More counter motion plays to slow the DBs from shooting into the play box.

OL align like we're passing with the OTs in a 2pt stance instead of 4 pt, and OGs and C can stay in 4pt. OTs can still cut from that stance if they need to, but gives cuts out the wasted motion when they need to kick out in pass pro.

Wider positioning for the ABs so when we do pass, there are better passing angles for the QBs.

I could go on...but those are some that don't need drastic tweaking that we could easily implement

And again our 3Op and Load Option have OL getting to next level. You can't just release a WR to add a pass option

This is what happens when you think inside the box.

Lord knows no one has ever adjusted what the OL does from play to play...'cause you know, CPJ is pretty vocal about that himself.

It's different plays. We already know our options can get stopped when our OL doesn't get LBs blocked. So, the change in blocking takes away the running option.

We have play action passes from dive motion. We have run pass option for QB rollout. What you described is illegal.

It's only illegal if the OL goes past the designated area.

So other teams have run pass options off their existing plays and it works. Somehow if GT tweaks their blocking it won't work? Okay...

It's not that something that looks like it won't work -- e.g. dive fake, speed option fake.

the rpo is often done with a smoke route, a lateral that allows the linemen to release, or with slide protection that looks like zone. you could tweak the zone by adding a hole plugged with a load, but the line action would scream pass, or at the very least WTF/pause. and that would come at the cause of rolling your QB into a released playside DE...
