Dwyer Interview

I miss Dwyer a lot. I think we might have his equivalent in a different style - more rock-'em-sock-'em - in Mills, but I always like the way he ran. As soon as he got an opening of any kind, he squared up and ran straight for the goal line as fast as he could. Wish all our back did that; Lynch does and it has really paid off for him.

Dwyer was a great back and fun to watch. What people fail to realize is that Laskey/Days out-gained him. They put up less ypc, but not by much.

Dwyer '09 (14 game season): 1395, 5.9 ypc
Laskey/Days '14 (14 game season): 1775, 5.4 ypc

We don't need a superstar Bback, just a good one, or a couple of them to share the load. (right Nuke?)

fwiw, if you add in Preston Lyons numbers in 2009 and subtract the yards from Synjyn as A-Back, the total numbers get a lot closer.
