Onward to Dook.

Their Friday starter "looks to be" elite, based on stats. Sub .200 opponent batting average. Their starters don't go deep. They have two relievers with 30+ innings and sub 2.00 ERA, so they have had some good work out of the pen.

This team certainly rose to the occasion this weekend, despite bad news. Roedig seemed to be really sharp.

Keep it rolling Jackets.

Hoping for 5-1 in conference down the stretch.

Well hoping for 6-0, but will be well pleased with 5-1 [emoji1]

Can't believe we are down 2 of our 3 weekend starters. Ugh.

Western Carolina has a much better RPI than Pitt. HAVE to sweep them.

1-2 against Duke is meh, and we probably don't win Coastal. 2-1 against Duke is really good, and we probably do win Coastal. 3-0 against Duke is frigging amazing and we will all but have Coastal locked up.

Putting together the stats on this thread: https://gtswarm.com/threads/current-acc-baseball-statistics.18234/ - Duke should win each game by 0.2 runs, 6.5 to 6.3.

However, these stats don't take into account difficulty of schedule. We have played the 6th toughest schedule in the country, while Duke is 33rd. So put that all together, and with it being a road game for us, and it smells like every single game is a toss up.

Going to be tough without two of our three established and effective weekend starting pitchers from here on out.

Comparing Jack Coombs Field to the Rusty C...

JCF......…...RCS
LF – 325......…...328
LC – 370......…...391
CF– 400......…...400
RC – 375......…...353
RF – 335......…...334

They've got an extra 20-25 ft in Right Center over Russ Chandler without the straight line. Which sets up well for them trying to keep McCann and Ratliffe in the park. Not sure how the winds plays there, but that's a noticeably deeper park than ours on the whole. Can see why they have some low ERAs.

Where are they playing these games? Jack Coombs or the Bulls' Park? It's listed as JC on Warren Nolan's schedule but read elsewhere that they only play their weekday games there.

Okay Duke's website lists the Bulls Park. So I guess their on-campus field must be pretty ****ty.

Fixing this since they aren't playing at the on-campus field.

RC is still a lot deeper and now we've got this 32 high foot wall in LF to deal with. Can REALLY see why they have lower ERAs. Somebody posted in another thread that X would have been money in this park.

Two years ago the weekend series was played on Duke’s campus and this year they’ll be at Durham Bulls’ Park. Guess it all just depends on the Bulls’ schedule.

Does anyone know if the game will be televised on ACC Extra?
I'm sure someone has mentioned that info somewhere on one of the multiple threads...Sorry, I'm sitting on a beach.
