i know that’s how the fanbase feels about it but do we have any indication that’s what reality is? i’m asking cause that’s not something i would know since i don’t have any connection with boosters and the people who pay the money
Just for the sake of discussion, would you say he has a better resume as a coach than Collins did when he was hired? Plenty of people feel like we bought the sizzle instead of the steak. Would this be a repeat of same?
I just don't see an up-size to either coach. I like the no nonsense demeanor of guys like Chip Long and Travares Tillman.Just for the sake of discussion, would you say he has a better resume as a coach than Collins did when he was hired? Here’s a question for y’all…hypothetical of course because who knows if any of this is true/would ever happen.
We’ve already heard whispers on here and Twitter from people who have a “source” that the buyout money is there and that Deion is in the loop and ready.
If Geoff goes 7-5 or better this season…and Deion is ready to make a move…do you make the move?
One other thing and I hope this is appropriate, but if Collins doesn't perform and somehow there is a change during the on-going season, which assistant coach could hold the team together?I just don't see an up-size to either coach. But wouldn't the work of getting Deion on board in the first place be a little bit on TStan right now? Unless of course, the BOT or donors are out talking on GTAA behalf without TStan. Guess it depends how everything actually develops and we may never know on the outside. For the “he is my guy” crowd saying ADTS will be fired—-It’s not that difficult to go out and get a new guy when that is your job description. And if that guy is Deion…your job is safe.

I don't think PrimeTime is what we need at GT. Just one fan's opinion but we need a coach who gives us a strategic advantage on game day. Recruiting is not sufficient to win in the world we want to play at. To get back to regular top 25 rankings, we need top flight talent AND Coaching and Prime isn't going to get it done much different than CGC.
Maybe we get a short term help in recruiting, but gameday operations is where we need to improve.
highly recommend you watch some jackson state if you think that he’s not a strategic coach. they play good football and play the game right. he’d be a significant upgrade over collins in that front.I don't think PrimeTime is what we need at GT. Not really, but I'm more interested in what's in his head than what's in his resume. His resume is still being written. We need someone who can communicate, lead, has vision and knows what he's doing. Geoff had a half decent resume - a good record as DC and a decent but short stint as HC - and he had some connections as well as a track record as a recruiter here, but the other stuff is about ten times more important. I can see why Geoff was hired based on his resume. It's the other stuff that concerns me more.Just for the sake of discussion, would you say he has a better resume as a coach than Collins did when he was hired? He’s gots lots of connections in the Atlanta community. If he can recruit 8-10 studs from a 150 mile radius, and then bring in a few from neighboring states, we will be fine.Question,
Does Deion bring the same reverence we all have for him, to the younger generation? The kids we are going after have never seen him play. Does that matter or does his legacy still resonate with the recruits?
