What are the benefits of being cutting edge? Teams aren't accustomed to scheme and have to adjust is one possibility. Another possibility...no one else is running the scheme and opposition has to prepare for unique scheme.
I agree being different can help a tad (most seem to think it helps us). But it aint the end all be all. Schemes, and the coaches running them, have to be sound. Our coach and scheme are pretty well proven over time. Thanks for the reminder.
