Publix has announced they will be shifting their hours to better accommodate the battle against COVID-19.

In a Facebook post, the grocer and pharmacy said that all stores companywide will be closing at 8 p.m. starting March 14.

Publix says the change was done to “better serve customers, give our store teams time to conduct additional preventive sanitation and restock products.”

This is an amazing site from Johns Hopkins. The have a daily news article that gives you updates on where everything stands:

http://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/resources/COVID-19/index.html

Todays update will piss you off. Both sides of the aisle need to get their sh!t together.

It’s crazy how fast things are changing. Yesterday’s report said there were 1,200 cases here. There are 2,200 cases here now. (Confirmed cases through testing, with those usual caveats.)

Spain another’s have really blown up.

You should take a timeout.

Fyi I edited this post so Bwelbo wouldn’t tell the principal.

I thought this was funny as hell.

I still remember his first public “doctor’s” report. The guy wrote a letter that more or less said, “The President is in perfect health, that I will tell you. In fact nobody in the history of the country has been in better health. Look, nobody can believe what good health he is in.”

That is because you are not following numbers of spread of the virus. You are following numbers of availability of tests.

Absolutely...Once again, it’s an almost certainty that this virus has been in the states several weeks, maybe even a couple months...long before it was really on anybody’s radar.

So I looked for some of the research on seasonality for COVID-19, and it’s early. Not much has been published yet.
Google autocomplete is something interesting, as usual

Search results will probably get more interesting in the next week or so.

But I found a couple of stories. Bloomberg seems fairly well researched. The consensus seems to be [emoji3166], hmm, don’t know yet. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...r-curb-coronavirus-what-experts-say-quicktake

Epidemiologists at Harvard say “probably not”: https://ccdd.hsph.harvard.edu/will-covid-19-go-away-on-its-own-in-warmer-weather/. I hope they’re wrong
