Except that all counts at this point are almost certainly undercounts, I don't see the basis for your concern. Most of the European countries have had the virus among them longer then we have and certainly have little incentive to underreport. I might add that most of them have public health systems; if anything their stats are more likely to be representative since they are not reporting to 50 different health agencies that then have to aggregate at national levels. Admittedly, the Chinese may be underreporting, but, again, I don't see the incentive for them to do so at this juncture.I never said I doubted the US death and cases figure. In fact I said the opposite - I don't put as much credence in other countries' numbers.
