Alabama playing the number one seed so close really sets up well for FSU’s split title claim if they win their own game… oh wait

I see people don't understand how to spin the SEC. -- Bama beat the best team in the country a few weeks ago, then played the second best team in the country to overtime. Clearly if the playoffs were Michigan, Texas, Alabama, and the mutts the SEC and/or future SEC would have won the championship this year. The committee was clearly at fault for not putting three SEC teams in the playoff this year (since TX is actually an SEC team) --

That is the drivel that will be spouted tomorrow.

A 20-13 game isn't much offense. Everyone acted like FSU would get ***** slapped in the playoffs but their D would have been as good as Alabama today.
Statistically Michigan’s defense is much better than FSU’s and Alabama’s is clearly better. None of the 3 have particularly goid offenses.

A full strength FSU, hard to say after the team melted down after being snubbed. Without Travis they would not have a chance.

FSU got screwed but the Committer got a very good game between Michigan and Alabama.

Absolutely terrible play calling on that last play.

You have one of the most dangerous QBs in CFB, and you basically gave him a one option play up the middle instead of giving him a run pass option and giving Milroe the ability to use his legs as the 3rd option.

GT fans...look at what Faulkner did with King against UGA. People like to say "there's levels to this", and Faulkner's offensive acumen is on a different level.

Gonna have to disagree...unless Milroe was trying to be a hero. Pulling guard and RB motion to the left looks more like "eye candy" for Michigan to run a defender off from the LOS. Milroe had zero intention of cutting left given how hard he was running between the guards. If Milroe was cutting left, he slows up and tries to freeze the DE.

Could have been Milroe misread the play as well. Either way, the play call was TERRIBLE.

Said to my son befor the play… can you imagine a bad snap here?!

Not a catastrophic bad snap, but Milroe had to take eyes off the play to handle the low snap and never saw the lane.

Michigan tried hard to give it away but then came to their senses, thankfully. If Alabama had won it would have been touted as more proof of SEC supremacy.

Michigan looked like they were built to beat SEC teams. Big offensive line, strong running game. Speed all over their defense with big athletic DTs.

Michigan was beating up 'Bama at times.

I was very impressed with Michigan’s defense. This was the first game of their’s I’ve watched all the way through. Alabama appeared to rely on misdirection more than trying to run strength on strength. Michigan was very physical.

But, to be fair, this Alabama team was not as complete as some of their previous teams. Saban did a good job getting everything he could out of them.
