Steve Forbes is a lot like his former boss Bruce Pearl and he recruits like him which means he'll get a good bit of talent to go to Winston-Salem but he's also going get the attention of the NCAA.

Good. They can take our place as the NCAA's target when they really want to hammer UNC.

His first job is going to be to convince Neath and Sarr to come back and keep Mucius onboard.
if Neath doesn't come back they have 0 returning guard experience.
That would at least allow them to be a .500 type ballclub.

A few days ago it was reported that they negotiated the buyout down to 7.5. Now Wake is claiming they owed him less than half. Not sure why. Fully expect it to play out in court

If Steve Forbes is winning at WF in a few seasons i could see him being the successor to Rick Barnes at Tennessee when he decides to retire in probable 3-4 seasons.

I'd speculate that your perspective may not be relevant here because Davis likely only wants to be head coach at UNC.

Understood, but I doubt Bubba would hire a 55 year old with no head coaching experience. They did that once for Gut, but that was a directive from Dean. I’d be surprised if they did it again for Hubert

I get that Dean is above all others there, but you'd think there was a reason Roy called Hubert home from a very nice job covering college hoops for ESPN.

It feels like there was a plan put in place some time ago.

I may be missing someone in my memory banks but right now there really isn't a huge UNC coaching tree out there. So if they want to stay in the UNC tree then Hubert makes as much sense as anyone I can think of off the top.
