If Underwood does what Weber did at Illinois, it'll have been a pretty successful run.

High hopes are on the fan base's head, not a coach that won 67% of his games with 6 NCAA appearances in 9 years. 58% of conference games won.

Let me know if you'd have liked that over any 9 year period over the past 25 years or so at Georgia Tech.

FWIW, a couple of articles out of OK suggest that Buzz is unlikely to be in the mix at OK ST. It is believed that OK ST is not going to be willing to spend the money necessary to hire someone like Buzz.

Given his current contract it would take top ten money to get Buzz, unless he just wants to change jobs. I find that unlikely. I think he has done a great job so far in his career but top ten? I don't see that but I've been wrong many times.

I still can't believe LSU didn't go after Eric Musselman. If I'm Cal, I get the Fuller guy.

I like Coach Russell Turner for Cal, so long as they offer him a big enough raise.
I think OK St may go for Gottlieb and get him cheap. For some reason they don't want to spend much money. Underwood leaving is proof. He was making only $1m a year? Can't blame him for wanting a raise and Ok St. should have given him a better deal for starters if they wanted to keep him long term. Maybe he wouldn't have appeared so easy to pick off by Illinois. As was mentioned, VaTEch pays Buzz so, even if he is on someone's list, they all know that they are going to have to REALLY want Buzz to pry him away from VT- so many may just leave him alone.
