Haynes dropped a pass the play before Singleton's first drop on 2nd down on our first drive.Singleton wasn’t the only one dropping passes but his seemed to start the self destruction by the offense.

Haynes dropped it because his eyes got as big as hubcaps… he had a lane and a lot of room to work. He was thinking open field before he ever touched it. That gain could’ve been as big as the next one Singleton dropped.Haynes dropped a pass the play before Singleton's first drop on 2nd down on our first drive.
Far superior talent prevailed. We made several mistakes on dropped balls/misconnections that would have given us some points early on. Give Clemson credit, their defense and QB played very well today.Didn’t forget either of those games but the results of those games don’t mean we have trouble with adversity.
We were all optimistic after leading 7-0 but what happened besides superior talent applying pressure that we couldn’t respond to?
Clearly we were trying to get the ball out quickly as King was under siege like last year's QB's were. The 2 early false starts didn't help either as they derailed some good plays. The only O play calls Idid not like was the repeated wide reciever screens. After we saw they were aware and prepared, we still kept trying it.
Tired of seeing that thing. Most of the time goes nowhere. The only O play calls Idid not like was the repeated wide reciever screens. After we saw they were aware and prepared, we still kept trying it.
Won’t be “regular” since they are no longer a permanent rival for us, but hopefully we will beat them when they’re on the schedule.Today certainly wasn’t, but the future looks bright. It won’t be long until we’re regularly winning games against Clemson again.

Yeah GT is obviously struggling but PSU has to be frustrating because it seems you guys never beat teams of similar talent.Sports stunk for me today. Both of my teams lost…smh
There's more to it than that single play being highly effective. Plays set up other plays. Plays get the defense looking at different visual keys, gets the defense flowing certain ways - this is used to them set up a chunk play.Tired of seeing that thing. Most of the time goes nowhere.
Well not Ohio State or Michigan to be specificYeah GT is obviously struggling but PSU has to be frustrating because it seems you guys never beat teams of similar talent.
Same reason a Paul Johnson offense running a B-back dive for 1-2 yards on 1st down could still be an effective play, for what it sets up later in the game/drive.There's more to it than that single play being highly effective. I don't blame CBF, Buster. Missed blocks, dropped passes, out manned. That was a winnable game. We beat ourselves. Glad we kept playing until the end and I give the guys credit for that. Just too many mistakes on the coaches and players. Buster called a crap game for the most part and never allowed our offense to get in rhythm. Defense played hard but the world knows we are terrible on third and fourth down stops, so there is really little to no reason for the opponent to fear us there. Clemson took advantage of that, and we very predictably gave them what they needed whenever they needed it. Got to find guys with more grit to play defense next year. Just got to hope we play our best game of the year next week.
Go Jackets!
Do y’all play anybody else with similar talent? BIG 10 is pretty weak outside of those 3 teams isn’t it? That’s the reason those teams never lose.Well not Ohio State or Michigan to be specific
No, we didn't. Clemson straight up manhandled us. Drops or no, they were physically superior from start to finish and it showed. They kicked our tails from one end of the field to the other. The Clemson everyone expected week 1 showed up today. We are who we are - and we still have a long way to go.That was a winnable game. We beat ourselves.
