He litteraly had 1 week to recruit a Tight End. The 4-5 Star tight ends are already commited to other schools. If your expectations were for Collins to land a 4-5 star tightend in one week then I’m not sure what to tell you. Here’s something for you though, since you wanna outlandishly put Collins recruiting ability in check already - Jamious Griffin. 4 star running back, supposedly a silent commit to GT, highest rated RB in 11 years, since Dwyer. Collins did it in one week. So yes, he is bringing in those 4 Stars because of his offense.

He didn't have 1 week, he has two months. It's not like he can't sign someone in Feb.

Insider Info....Or leak from Mark Roundtree office/staff: is that the Temple defensive staff are 100 percent certain to join Collins at Georgia Tech -- Thacker (Georgia native), Burton (Georgia native), Knight (Georgia native), and Panagos (previous history with Collins).

Not so sure how many guys he'll bring with him from the offensive staff. If he wants to keep Patenaude as his offensive coordinator, then I think he'll also bring Lucas with him. Lucas and Patenaude worked together at Georgetown. Hixon will almost certainly make the move, too. My gut feeling is all three of them will join Collins at GT.

Foley, DiMichele and Wiesehan (in that order) are the most likely to stay at Temple. All three transitioned from Rhule to Collins.

So what about T. Choice and Brent Key coming to join the staff....that is going to be interesting???

Also just thought I would throw this into the recruiting conversation, we just signed that tight end....a 2 star recruit out of New Jersey...I thought we were going to sign 4 and 5 stars recruits since CPJ didn't.......

It certainly will be miserable for many when he does.

At least, after just a few weeks, he has (without any staff) a better grasp of what it takes than 11 years of IIWII.

When you reach the level of Tech Fan that I am I will take your comments with some seriousness, even when I post a come together post you CPJ haters, who don't really understand Tech just can't stop.

You have achieved the coveted miserable, get off my lawn typical Tech fan. Congrats, you may now go drink your tea without sugar and write your novel about why nobody gets Tech like you do. #bowdownpeople

We have signed several 4 star guys under CPJ. It is the elusive 5 star guys that we have not signed.

Not really, although @kg01 did remind me a while back that Saban has a direct hand in his DBs as well

You remembered?

All low 4 stars. Been a while since we got someone ranked in the top 100-150.

I think guys like B-J Swilling, Jaylon King, and Graham were all recent solid 4 stars.

Looking at 247/Scout, since the rankings began in 1999, they only have us having 9 total players in the top 150.

247/Scout has CPJ having signed 14 four-star players during his tenure.
Uzzi (2008)
Lanier, Sweeting (2009)
Young, Ayers, Williams, McCoy (2010)
Thomas, Kallon (2012)
Devine (2013)
Autry (2014)
BJS (2017),
King, Graham (2018)

Was surprised at some of the other guys who weren't 4 stars like DJ White, J Hunt-Days, Stephen Hill, Travis Custis, Jamea Thomas, etc.
