Nah. Playing on grass or playing on artificial grass that is nearly indistinguishable from grass makes no difference to the actual game.

Indistinguishable describing grass and the grass carpets is very odd. It’s extremely different, from the look to the feel. This is being cheap, nothing more.

Have you ever actually been on the newest generation of field turf? If you didn’t know it was turf you probably would suspect it being different than grass. Turf does start to look worse as it wears down, but by the time it looks worse it’s usually time to replace it anyway. Also, being cheap? I’m sorry but GTAA doesn’t have money coming out of its ears. This provides opportunities to make more profits, and spend less. Do you want to be competitive? Or would you rather continue to be the same?

I believe the NCAA has banned colored fields, but those fields get to exist as grandfathered.

Makes sense financially. Can save on upkeep and much easier to use the stadium for additional revenue opportunities. I can understand not liking it, though.

What does the team's Indoor Practice Facility have? I doubt it's Bermuda or Zoysia.

Wow, I am heartbroken. Sounds like it will help increase revenue, which is probably what we need right now, but it still sucks.

I do realize artificial turf has come a long way but Mercedes Benz stadium looks absolutely terrible on TV. Maybe it’s just the indoor lighting? Looks like cheap plastic. Yet I’d assume a it’s a top quality turf with it being a pro field.
