Saw where the Bravos did resign Kelenic. There’s your OF. Ha!

Could be that AA simply thinks his team from last year, which made the playoffs despite debilitating injuries, is good to go with the return of Acuna and Strider, and Murphy at full strength all season. I think most would like to see an upgrade in LF, another rotation arm, and at least a competitive alternative at SS. Doesn’t look like that will happen, though.

You would think the injuries of the past few years would teach AA that you can never have enough arms. I don’t see how the Braves can make it through a whole season with what they have now.

Reports are out that Ke'Bryan Hayes of the Pirates has requested a trade. Averages between $7-8M a year and is under contract till 2030. Could he play shortstop?
According to the metrics on Savant he doesn't have a very strong arm compared to other 3B. That would be amplified even further at SS. It looks like he's played a total of 5 innings at shortstop in his professional career. Based on those two data points I'm guessing that he wouldn't be a good fit at shortstop.

Sometimes I wish the Braves were ran more like the Dodgers. The rich continue to get richer…..
I can't figure out why the Braves didn't at least kick the tires on Sasaki. Relatively speaking he was very cheap. I've read rumors that the Braves are not well liked by Japanese players because of how they treated Kenshin Kawakami, but that was 15 years and 2 front office administrations ago.

Seemed like a great fit but iiuc those guys lean heavily to Westcoast teams or New York.

What did the Braves do to Kawakami?
