I think the players would enjoy NYC as they would be escorted everywhere and have pre-arranged sessions anywhere they go.

For fans however, there is plenty to dislike about NYC. Mostly in the category of crimes, dirt/filth, and the occasional disruptive demonstrations that are occurring these days. Not to mention the expense....goodness, that is an expensive city!

NYC is a great time. It depends on where you stay and what you want to do. There is no city in the world like NYC. There is an opportunity to experience ANYTHING you've ever wanted to experience in NYC.

I don't want GT to play in Pinstripe, but people who talk about how dangerous NYC is are just watching too much Fox News and don't actually travel there.

Same with Chicago. Probably one of the safest places to be in a downtown setting. Get a little south or west and you'll run into some rough neighborhoods, but inside the Loop is pretty damn safe.

Was it the 1970 Peach at BDS that had the blizzard? I know it was UNC against Arizona State.

I was at that one. Really cold. But not the worst one. FSU vs LSU in an icy rain the entire game felt colder to me.

There was a Peach Bowl in Atlanta/Fulton County stadium where we played Purdue that was really cold too. Purdue smoked us that day.

Yeti, you are missing the big picture here. This is a perfect time to visit the inlaws as you will have a legitimate excuse to get out of the house for one day at least. You can self medicate with alcohol the other two or three days.

I love Chicago, especially the jazz clubs. But, no city in the world has as many hidden gems and secret hot spots as NY. It has always amazed me how many free things there are to do compared to Atlanta and other cities.

Yes it was. I was selling programs at that one. Still remember it pretty well.

I was there and it was cold, but not terribly so. It snowed not rained, and I was in the 9th grade, so it was pretty cool to see. Grant Field was completely covered in about 2" of snow. We were in the UE and you couldn't even see across the stadium to the UW it was snowing so hard for a while - just during halftime. But as it wasn't terribly cold, the snow turned to mush by the end of the game and getting home wasn't too bad.

Check out Buster Faulkner for OC. Current quality control assistant for UGA but has been OC for several programs. Local guy, ( Parkview and Valdosta State), still young and hungry. Very successful in smaller programs and now 2 years under Monken at UGA. Won state championship at Parkview and National championship at VSU.

I had tickets every year for the Peach Bowl for several years beginning with the inaugural game and the only one I can remember that wasn’t either wet, cold, or snowing was South Carolina vs West Virginia.

Anyone from around these parts knows that late December in Atlanta is generally wet and cold.
